Guide Note
A candle is a light source made of wax or gel, with a wick inserted in the middle. The most common candle wax is paraffin, but candles can be made from beeswax, soy, or carnauba.
Before electricity, candles were used for illumination and heat, but today are used for aromatherapy, ambiance, and religious ceremonies.
