Call of Duty 4 Downloading Game Settings is an error message that occurs on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Call of Duty 4. The error message locks the screen, making it impossible to play the game online.

- Let the game download its settings, for as long as it takes, and after a while the game will be playable again.
- Turn off console
- Disconnect router for 10-20 seconds then reconnect
- Turn on console
- Go to settings and click network settings
- Go to internet connection and press triangle ( PS3
- Click disable disconnect then click enable after 10 seconds
- If any of these solutions do not work call the company and complain (Sony) or (Microsoft)
