Attractions:
Zoological Gardens is a must for a family outing. Adults and kids love the impressive array of animals. Don't forget to visit the waterfall and take a trip across a rope bridge led by one of the zoos caretakers. You can also rent a boat and enjoy a day on the lake that is in front of the zoo.
One of the oldest plazas in Buenos Aires is the Plaza Dorrego. Full of coffee shops, bars and pubs, you can sit back and enjoy the Tango shows or go shopping in one of the many antique stores.
Another great attraction here is the Torre Monumental, known as the Big Ben of Argentina. This huge clock offers free elevator rides up to the very top of clock. Take a ride and enjoy the beautiful view.
Activities:
There is really only one activity that is a must when visiting Buenos Aires and that is learning the Tango dance. Home to the Tango there are a lot of bars and clubs where you can learn the dance by watching or even take lessons. Nightlife here doesn't really even get started till about one thirty in the morning, so get plenty of sleep before hitting the town at night.
Cuisine:
Beef is the popular food here in Buenos Aires but many varieties of cuisine can be found. From sushi and fusion to vegetarian, a great meal is not hard to find. Some of the more popular meals are pizzas and empanadas (small pastries stuffed with combinations of cheese and meats). Finish your meal with a typical Argentinian kind of cookie called the alfajor. This sweet cookie is two biscuits with a sweet jam in the middle and covered in chocolate or meringue.
