Bruno Movie
Bruno is a 2008 film based on Sacha Baron Cohen's gay, Austrian fashion reporter character of the same name. The working title of the film is reportedly Brüno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt. Baron Cohen developed the character before the days of his Ali G television show, on which Bruno was featured regularly. His sketches usually consist of interviews with unsuspecting people about entertainment, fashion and Bruno's flamboyant sexuality.1

Recent Bruno Controversy
Sacha Baron Cohen's character Bruno tricked former Mossad agent and Israeli consultant Yossi Alpher during an interview which was intended for the discussion of Israeli and Palestinian relations. During the interview, Bruno confused Hamas with hummus and asked why a political movement and a food were named the same. The interview then continued with a string of other comical questions. Alpher later wrote in The Jewish Daily Forward that Cohen had "exploited our tragic and painful conflict in the most cynical and deceptive manner."3
