Introduction

This is the full-text walkthrough for the 2008 Xbox 360 World War II tactical squad shooter, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. In this guide you'll find detailed, step-by-step instructions to complete every mission and every objective in the game, as well as learn the best ways to deal with every combat situation you'll come across. This guide also includes tips for unlocking all 43 of the games Achievements, as well as the locations of all Recon Points and Kilroys.

Basic Training

Controls

  1. Brothers in Arms is a first-person squad-based shooter that puts you in control of Matt Baker, a staff sergeant and leader of a squad in the 101st Airborne.
  2. Movement is controlled by using the Left Thumbstick to move forward and back and laterally, while the Right Stick is used to aim and turn.
  3. The Right Trigger fires Baker's weapon. Use Y to cycle through his available weapons.
  4. You can also pick up new weapons off the ground or dead enemy soldiers by holding X when prompted. This will trade Baker's current weapon for the new one.
  5. Pressing the Right Bumper throws one of Baker's grenades. Hold the button down to use an aiming reticule that shows where the grenade will fall and the area it will impact.
  6. Push in the Left Stick and Baker will go into a crouching position, where you'll be more difficult to hit and be able to steady your gun easier for aiming.
  7. Push in the Right Stick and Baker will pull his weapon up to his shoulder, allowing the player to use the gun's iron sights to aim. This is a more accurate method of aiming, but slows down Baker's movement speed drastically.
  8. Hold A to make Baker sprint. During a sprint, Baker will move more quickly and be more difficult to hit, but he'll also have trouble moving sideways or cornering well.
  9. Press A when nearing a piece of waist-high cover and Baker will vault the object. This can be done while running too, to keep Baker moving quickly. The game will prompt you when a vault is possible.
  10. The Left Bumper makes Baker "Dig-in," or take cover against an object by leaning against it with his shoulder and keeping his head down. Digging in is a key operation, as it allows Baker to drop down and avoid almost all enemy fire. Baker can pop up from cover by pressing Up on the Left Stick to make him rise. You can then fire on the enemy, but you'll also take damage.
  11. The Back button brings up the Tactical Map, which displays terrain, objectives, and any enemy positions that Baker or a member of his squad has spotted.

Squad Orders

  1. A key component of Brothers in Arms games is Baker's command of his squad, which is divided into teams.
  2. Use B to toggle through the available teams. When you select a team, you can issue it orders.
  3. Orders include moving to a location, suppressing a position and assaulting a position. Use the Left Trigger while a squad is selected to bring up the orders reticule. When the reticule is blue, it shows where you can order a squad to go. Release the trigger to issue the order.
  4. Moving the reticule over an enemy position changes the reticule from blue to red. Releasing the trigger when the reticule is red will order a team to fire on that position. If it is past a certain distance away, the team will work to suppress that position.
  5. If the reticule turns red and the enemy position is close enough, the reticule will display a grenade in its center. This indicates that you can order a team to assault a position. An assaulting team will throw grenades and work harder to shoot enemies behind cover, rather than just suppress a position.
  6. Certain teams also can attack and destroy a cover position. Dragging a reticule over wooden cover or certain other objects will turn it from red to yellow, with an icon of a square broken in half in the center. This indicates the object can be destroyed. Give the order and your team will concentrate on destroying it, rather than shooting at enemies.
  7. You can cancel an order before you finish issuing it by pressing the Right Trigger while holding down the Left Trigger.

Commanding the Squad

  1. As Baker, you'll have as many as three teams under your command at any given time. There are four types of team, and you'll never have two of the same.
  2. Brothers in Arms works on a principle of using your squad to take positions in an area and fire on enemy positions behind cover. Enemies rarely leave cover or change position once a battle has begun, because it leaves them exposed.
  3. When an enemy position is sighted, a red circle appears above it. This indicates the enemy's level of suppression. Firing enough at an enemy position "suppresses" it, forcing the soldiers there to keep their heads down and fire more sporadically, for fear of being hit by your troops' fire.
  4. You can suppress any enemy position by firing at it. As you do so, the enemy's circular suppression meter will change in increments from red to gray. A fully gray meter means the enemy position is suppressed.
  5. Suppressing enemy positions keeps them from being able to accurately fight you. You should suppress enemy positions routinely, as it turns the fight in your favor. You must almost always suppress an enemy position before moving from cover or sending a team to a new position. Otherwise, the enemies will freely gun down you and your men.

Types of Team

  1. Your squad will always be divided up into teams if they're with you. There are four types of team, each with various special abilities and uses.
Fire Team: This is the standard team, which is armed with rifles and good at a distance. Actually called the "Base of Fire team," this team's job is just that -- provide a base of fire to suppress enemy positions. The fire team can also destroy some thin wooden cover, like picket fences.
Assault Team: This team carries more grenades and is armed with machine guns. They're not as good at a distance for suppressing enemy positions, but they are good for moving into areas where they can assault enemy positions from up close. The assault team's cover-destroying ability is also limited to thin wood objects.
MG-42 Team: This team carries an MG-42 heavy machine gun it can mount on cover. The team is perfect for suppressing large areas easily, but the gun takes some time to reload. The MG can also be used to destroy more kinds of cover than the Fire and Assault teams. This team is best used in high places or at a distance with a large view of the battle.
Bazooka Team: A bazooka team consists of a rifleman, a machine gunner and a soldier with a bazooka. While it's a single-shot weapon and takes very long time to reload, the bazooka is one of the most effective weapons in the game. It can be used to destroy enemy tanks, enemy artillery emplacements, and all kinds of destructible cover, including sandbag emplacements. The use of the bazooka team also has the chance of triggering Action Camera Moments, which go toward the Action Camera Blast, Action Camera Veteran and Action Camera Hero Achievements.

Tactics and Flanking

  1. Brothers in Arms strives for an authentic World War II experience, and therefore doesn't let the player run into battles guns blazing. The emphasis is on suppressing enemy positions and on squad tactics.
  2. So the first step of every encounter with enemy soldiers is to find cover and suppress the enemies. But this can leave you at a stalemate, with neither side killing the other side from cover.
  3. To break the stalemate, you have to flank the enemy. This means setting up in a position that is facing the enemy's exposed side or back to kill them while they scramble for cover or fire at your squad mates.
  4. You can flank enemies in almost every encounter simply by locating a way to move around them. Usually the game includes a cover position that is angled or sideways in relation to the cover where you face the enemy to suppress them. Moving yourself or a team to this cover allows them to flank the enemy and destroy a position.
  5. If a flanking position isn't obvious by looking around, the game also provides the detailed Tactical Map. It's accessible by pushing Back. The map displays all the area terrain, cover objects, and in-sight German positions from a top-down perspective. The map represents the detailed intelligence and study World War II paratroopers received about an area before a mission.
  6. The focus of the game is to make use of your squad to pin down enemies and flank them, as well as use each team's specialties to the best result. Keep that in mind when playing -- while some missions have Baker left alone, most battles cannot be won by yourself.
  7. As part of the experience, Brothers in Arms doesn't include a health gauge as you take damage from being shot.
  8. Instead, your camera view will change as Baker takes damage. Dirt and debris will be splattered on the camera as Baker takes fire at first.
  9. The edges of your view will become more and more red as you take damage.
  10. You can take cover to recover your damage over time. Your view gradually will clear until it returns to normal.

Missions

Mission One: Lost

  1. You'll start the game in a bombed-out hospital. Things go pretty easily. If you follow the tutorial, the game will present you with steps through.
  2. Move through the level, following behind Hartsock. When he takes cover, follow him with the Left Bumper. The first position you take will allow you to ambush a German soldier. Shoot over your cover by pushing Forward on the Right Stick.
  3. When the other Germans appear across the hole from you, suppress them. Hartsock will run through the battle and around the corner to flank the enemy.
  4. When Hartsock clears the way, follow him around the corner and keep going until he takes cover again. Grab your own cove and wait for a German patrol to move across the doorway up ahead.
  5. Blast the patrolling soldier or follow behind him and take cover at the corner of the door. Open fire around the corner at the Germans there.
  6. Wait for the soldiers to expose themselves, then open up on them. When you've cleared this hallway, you can move forward and take a position up on the right side wall at the windows to flank the other enemy position in the next room.
  7. Follow Hartsock when the soldiers are all dead. You'll reach a large room with lots of debris in it . Take cover and ambush the patrol standing just to your left.
  8. More soldiers will run into the room and try to take cover. Unload on them as they run into the room, or use your gun to blow apart their cover.
  9. Now head forward into the amphitheater to end the mission.

Mission Two: Operation Market

  1. Go through the training, then follow your compass to meet with the Dutch resistance.
  2. ACHIEVEMENT ALERT! Complete the training to earn the Basic Training achievement.
  3. When you finish with the resistance contact, you'll be launched straight into the fight. Just ahead are some German soldiers.
  4. Follow the tutorial to send your MG team to ambush the German patrol. Send the team to the wall just ahead, which is marked with a blue ring, by giving orders with the Left Trigger. Aim at the position and release to issue the order.
  5. Tell your men to engage the enemy by holding Left Trigger and aiming at the enemies just beyond the wall. Your crosshairs will turn red.
  6. Follow the tutorial to set up a flanking position. Order the MG team to suppress the German position that just got set up, then head around to the right. The game will show you where to go.
  7. Stay down and hurry through the garden to the right, staying along the rock wall there. Dig in as you get close with the Left Bumper and fire through the wooden barrel at the Germans.
  8. There's another German position just beyond the first. Order your team to suppress it.
  9. With the second position suppressed and the first position probably destroyed, leave cover and head back to the right, where you'll see a small outbuilding. Make your way around it to the right, then dig in when you reach the other side so you can flank the second German position. Kill them to meet your objective.
  10. When you're done, turn around and look behind you. There should be an open gate you can head through.
  11. ACHIEVEMENT ALERT! As you go through the gate, you'll be introduced by the tutorial to a Kilroy, which is a marking on the door. It'll net you the Kilroy was here! Achievement. Finding 10 Kilroys is good for the Kilroy Bronze achievement, 18 for the Kilroy Silver achievement, and 25 for the Kilroy Gold achievement.
  12. Go through the gate and climb up to the steps into the windmill. From the top, go to a window and hold down the X Button to do a recon in the area.
  13. ACHIEVEMENT ALERT! Look for recon positions like this one to earn Recon achievements, just like Kilroys. This first recon is good for the First Recon achievement. Your Tactical Map lets you know how many recons and Kilroys are in each area.
  14. After you've finished with the recon, hold B to recall your MG team. Send them to the low wall in front of the windmill, beyond which is a German patrol.
  15. Set your MG team to suppressing fire. They'll pin the Germans back near the farmhouses just beyond the wall.
  16. Make your way along the low wall to the right of the area. Head all the way to the porch of the farmhouse just ahead and take cover against the wall. From here, you can fire at one of the soldiers at least.
  17. More Germans are holed up in the garage to the west of the farmhouse. Move up your MG team to the old car in front of the house. Move up to the garage carefully -- there may be a soldier just inside the door. A safe way to dispatch him is with a grenade. That completes your objective to sweep the farm.
  18. Your next goal is the farmhouse to the south. Move your MG team through the garage to the low wall out front. You'll have to deal with three German positions here: one to the left, one in the center, and one in the second floor window of the farmhouse.
  19. Head west from where you set the MG team and you'll find a gate through the fence. Go through and you'll be able to flank out the left-side German fire team. Shoot them down.
  20. Make sure the enemy MG in the second-story window is suppressed (the circle overtop of the position is gray), then move up toward where you just killed the soldier. You should be able to get close enough to avoid being shot up by the second-story enemy position, while flanking those on the ground to the right.
  21. Now get under the window with the German position. Hold Right Bumper to aim and throw a grenade into the window to clear the position.
  22. Call your team to you with B. Head through the front door slowly to sweep the house.
  23. You'll have to leave your MG team outside. Be careful, as unseen German troops just on the other side of the house can shoot you. Head in and break left immediately.
  24. Head up the stairs and take cover by the doorway. There are still two to three enemy soldiers ahead. You can try to throw a grenade in to clear them, or just shoot them from cover.
  25. Kilroy! Clear out these soldiers, then head through the room to the bathroom. Check the wall beside the door when facing out from inside the bathroom to find another Kilroy.
  26. When they're dead, head back down. Two more soldiers will have come through from the backside of the house. Take cover in the doorway and clear them quickly.
  27. Head through the back door to complete the objective. The Germans launch a counter attack almost immediately. Send your MG team to the sand bag bunker just ahead, which is also a German ammo cache.
  28. Go to that cover spot with your team -- it's pretty solid. Try to catch the approaching soldiers in the open while they're moving to thin their numbers.
  29. Move around on the battlefield once the Germans are dug in to find a good place to flank them, should you need it. When they're all dead, you'll complete the mission objective. Continue heading south to find the landing zone.
  30. You'll get a second team now. Switch between them using the B button.
  31. Just after the tutorial gets finished, two German squads will appear over the ridge ahead. Quickly move your assault and MG teams into cover -- the MG on the left behind the stone walls, the assault on the right near the wooden fence. Then give both orders to fire on the patrol ahead of them and cut them to pieces.
  32. There's also a German MG far ahead near the crest of the hill. Suppress it (or snipe the gunner). Then move up along the wooden fence to the west to flank the remaining enemy soldiers.
  33. Kilroy! When all the Germans here are dead, go to the west of the area to find a small outbuilding. On the north side of the building is a small window that's not completely boarded up. Look through the window to find a Kilroy by pressing X.
  34. Move up and set both teams at a stone wall just across the dirt road here. There are more German positions on the other side, so set your teams firing.
  35. When you eliminate the first German positions, the glider crew will make a break for it back to the north. Move your MG team up to the down log near the glider, and move your assault team to the stone wall to the west. Have each team focus on the enemy positions they can hit.
  36. TIP: Just to the west of you is a small shed missing its north and south walls. Inside is a German K43 Sniper Rifle. You'll need to use it to bust up the enemies ahead, as there isn't much in the way of positions to suppress all the German positions.
  37. That leaves a third group unsuppressed. Stay back as far out of range as possible to snipe at the third, unsuppressed enemy team to the southwest. You shouldn't have too much trouble knocking them out, so long as you don't let yourself get pummeled by enemy fire.
  38. Now run to the downed log where you left your MG team, then make for the log just to the west of it. You'll take some fire but you should survive.
  39. Recon! At the log, look for the prompt to recon the area using the X button.
  40. Move up one of your teams to put more pressure on the Germans. You can take them with your own rifle from here, which works fairly well, or you can swing around past the glider to the west and flank from the side.
  41. When you've cleared the last of the Germans, you'll complete the last major objective. Follow the compass south to where Hartsock is waiting for you to end the mission.

Mission Three: The Five Oh Sink

  1. Your first objective is to recon the area. To the south is a windmill for just that purpose, so head over and climb to the top to do so.
  2. You've got two fire teams. Bring both south into the town and set them up on the stone wall there. Start suppressing the German soldiers patrolling the area.
  3. With your bazooka team in place, follow the wall around, past the hedges so that you're looking straight into the large barn. Set your assault team there to suppress the two German positions inside.
  4. With the Germans suppressed, bring up your bazooka team to the stone wall a little further along. Have them take out the enemy in the position behind the rusted truck. You can also use them to clear out the remaining enemy soldiers in the barn.
  5. Move into the barn, bringing all your forces with you. A good strategy is to set the bazooka team on the lower floor and bring the assault team up to the top floor to shoot down on enemies. However, more than likely, the bazooka team will just rip up badly chosen enemy cover positions.
  6. Kilroy! There are three Kilroys in this map. The first is on the second floor of this barn in the corner on the western wall.
  7. Clearing the front positions just leaves a handful of soldiers in the stable beyond. You can't hit them from the top floor too well (though, try for a few cheap head shots against them from there). Bring the assault team downstairs and start suppressing the enemy.
  8. Meanwhile, head to the left toward a wooden fence. Jump it and you'll find a pair of animal troughs that make good cover against the enemies in the front of the house. Bring up your teams quickly.
  9. Moving up reveals another German position, however, that's in prime position to oppose you. Suppress that group while your assault team rips into the soldiers in the front of the house.
  10. From here, send your assault team straight into the front portion of the house, through the destroyed wall in front of you. Stop them right in front of the entrenched Germans you're fighting. Your assault team will be in cover and outflank the Germans.
  11. Move through the stable to enter the next area of the map.
  12. You'll immediately be pinned down by a German MG and two positions to the north. Move your assault team up to the stone wall just ahead of them, and use your bazooka team to take out the MG.
  13. You can use the bazooka team to shred the rest of the enemy emplacements. Move them to the stone wall to the west of your assault team so they have a clear shot at everything and let them rip.
  14. You can move up on the flank along the west side, but you'll soon come under fire from an MG-42 in a tower further north of your position. It'll cut you up if you move in the open, so bring the assault team with you to suppress it. They can also put fire on the new group of German troops that are moving into the area.
  15. Quickly bring up your bazooka team and set them in cover at a rusty truck that stands between you and the tower. Then order them to fire on the machine gun nest.
  16. As you move forward, more Germans will come out and take positions around a fountain ahead of you. To the west of the road is a low wall. Set up your bazooka team there to destroy the sandbag emplacement ahead.
  17. You can send your assault team along the road for another flanking position. They'll knock out the Germans quickly enough.
  18. TIP: The red parachute in this courtyard marks a supply drop. Stop by and hit X to restock your ammo.
  19. Advance into the churchyard to trigger a new area.
  20. You're alone in the church now, so hit Y to switch to your machine gun. Climb the stairs and you'll find a German radio room.
  21. Sit tight a second and a soldier will wander into the area. Cap him in the head and then grab cover in the doorway leading into the next hallway. A pair of soldiers is behind a couch ahead, and a third is in the rooms to your left.
  22. Use some sharp shooting or a grenade to clear the guys behind the red couch. Head through the door to the left and take cover in the entrance to the room just behind it. There's another couch there, with another soldier hiding behind it.
  23. Wait till he sticks his head out, then blast him. Then run up to the blocked doorway just ahead, staying low to avoid the dug-in pair of soldiers just beyond.
  24. A good strategy here is to toss a grenade through the doorway to the left of the Germans, or try to lob one right down the center. You'll get at least one and suppressing the remaining soldier will be easy, allowing you to kill him that much more safely.
  25. Hop the cover and you'll be able to head to the right into the hallway. Go toward a side hall with a paining of a ship on the wall, and take the door there. In the next small room, take cover in the doorway leading to the last room.
  26. Ahead is another German position behind a couch. From cover, carefully aim a grenade beside the Germans and throw it to take out both.
  27. You're safe to enter the room. Take the stairs down and get behind cover or against the frame of the door to the left of the steps. There's a soldier through there and around the corner.
  28. Lean out and open fire on him to suppress him and kill him when he steps out.
  29. Round the corner and go through the doorway to a patio outside. Turn right and take cover against a doorframe. Directly ahead is another German soldier behind cover.
  30. He's on the right side of the window, so suppress him or wait until he steps out.
  31. Head forward and around the corner quickly. More soldiers will arrive in the same hallway where you killed the first. Suppress them and run quickly left toward a low piece of circular concrete. Take cover there, then run to the doorway to the hall with the Germans, where you can flank them.
  32. Kill both soldiers and you can move up. Go around the corner to find another door back into the main building. There's a German soldier inside to the left, but you should be able to take him as he moves around, trying to find cover.
  33. Continue down the hall. Go through the doorway you find and look left when you reach the hallway beyond, which is lined with windows. Grab cover and knock out the MG gunner.
  34. Kilroy! Turn around and go into the room to the right that you ignored before killing the MG gunner. Head straight back to the window to find a Kilroy to the left of it.
  35. Backtrack toward the MG gunner and go through the door. Grab cover on the wall between the two doorways and move to the left.
  36. Through this door, there are two German soldiers. The one on the bottom floor is behind poor cover and easy to deal with. The one on the upper floor is much more dangerous.
  37. Quickly kill the lower floor soldier, then pull back. Take note of where the top floor guy is and pull out your rifle. Wait for him to step out and plug him with a headshot.
  38. There's another soldier on the second floor. He's easy to suppress, so do so with your machine gun and then kill him when he shows himself.
  39. With the room clear, advance in and go to the doorway to the right. Take cover and open fire on the MG gunner on the other side.
  40. Now backtrack to the staircase. Carefully climb it, looking down the hall at the top. You should see another German soldier lying in wait further down the hall. Drop him before he sees you.
  41. Advance down the hall and take cover where it overlooks another MG gunner.
  42. ACHIEVEMENT ALERT! If you grab the enemy MG-42 that's here and use it to kill the other MG gunner, you'll be awarded the Enemy Arms achievement.
  43. Go back down the stairs and into the hallway with the MGs. Continue left through another door into a hall that leads to a staircase. Go down to exit the house and reunite with your squads.
  44. Quickly move your men forward down the canal, because you'll be in a firefight almost immediately. Move your bazooka team up to the low wall on the right side, your assault team on the left, and start ripping the patrolling enemy troops.
  45. Hit the MG nest in the building in front of you with the MG. It's on the second floor. Then turn the bazooka's attention to the left, where another nest is in the upper floor of that building.
  46. Move along the north side of the area and sprint to the low wall to the north. Take cover and use it to flank the forward German position while your teams suppress.
  47. Bring up a fire team near you to help finish off the rear position behind the sand bags. The bazooka team needs a clearer shot to hit it than it gets from where you left them.
  48. Head south to find a pair of open wooden doors. Head through to complete the objective. On the other side, you'll have a pair of MG positions on upper floors in two buildings.
  49. Your bazooka guys will show up on their own, or you can send them to the cover just ahead of you. Have them take out the MG to the south. Then move your bazooka team to the porch to the east of the door you just came through.
  50. More soldiers will show up to support the remaining MG. Move your bazooka team forward to the low wall ahead and use them to take out the two sets of German soldiers behind sand bags.
  51. Now run across the street to get out of the range of the enemy MG. Bring your teams with you. Position the bazooka team at the corner of the building just in front of the MG, still out of sight, and have them hit it.
  52. Bring your guys up the street and position your bazooka team against the gray barrier in the middle of the road. There are a lot of German positions down the street, including an MG emplacement.
  53. Across the street is an open door. Take your assault team and go through and around the corner, then take up flanking positions in the storefront. You can hit the two German positions here, then set down suppressing fire on the third further down the street.
  54. Move up your bazooka team to another gray barrier just out the front of the store you're in. Use them to take out the third position just ahead.
  55. Rally your assault team and run across the street through an ally. There's a lone German soldier somewhere in here who can be nasty and hard to kill. Send your assault team forward into the next room, then the one beyond. Finally, set them in cover at the storefront as you enter it to find and kill the soldier.
  56. You should be stuck here as far as the road is concerned, with a barricade and truck blocking the way. Move your team up to the last piece of sand bag cover to suppress the MG beyond. Then run across the street into another garden. Position your teams at the low wall beside the entrance and have them start suppressing the German positions here.
  57. Spring across the firefight and stop at the low wall on the far side of the garden. Along the area is another wall that will give you a flanking position. Send your assault team forward to the cover there.
  58. Just ahead in the windows is an MG that you your teams can't hit from here. Sprint across the entrance to the garden and take up a position on the right of it, where you can shoot at the entrenched Germans. You can then bring up your teams to help you suppress the enemies.
  59. Basically, wait for the Germans to show themselves, then blast them. You might take some damage here, but you should be able to avoid death and drop the MG.
  60. Continue through the building and you'll move into the next area.
  61. When you've crossed the river, you'll be standing next to a Recon Point. Keep it in mind, but first you'll need to deal with the German positions. Quickly use your bazooka team to clear the nearest MG nest, which is to the east.
  62. You're parked behind a wood fence, so head up to the pair of boats flipped on their sides just ahead. Bring up your teams and have them lay down suppressing fire on the two German positions ahead of you. Use the bazooka team to attack the MG team to the southeast.
  63. Place the assault team more or less in front of the distant PAK 88 so that it draws its fire, then move up along the west side of the map.
  64. Bring your bazooka team with you and advance up a small ally alongside the 88. There are a few soldiers waiting for you here, so be careful. There's one in particular just on the other side of a truck who can give you hell.
  65. TIP: For an easy way to drive this soldier out of cover, set your bazooka team nearby and out of harm's way, then shoot him in the feet under the truck. Hit him hard enough and he may even die.
  66. Move your bazooka team to the low wall and finish off the soldiers here. Then move them alongside the 88 to clear it.
  67. Recon! Make sure you return to that Recon Point near the destroyed bridge to add it to your collection.
  68. Kilroy! The last Kilroy on this map is also near this Recon Point. Go east of the recon and look at the north wall of the building that stands there, near some overturned rowboats. The Kilroy is on the wall behind some shutters, between two windows.
  69. You can punch out the 88 with either a sidelong blast from the bazooka, or by approaching it and hitting X to place a satchel charge. Doing so ends the mission.

Mission Four: Written in Stone

  1. You start in the church graveyard, pinned down by a mean, dug-in MG-42. Move up to the low wall ahead of you whenever there's a lull in the shooting, and bring your assault team with you.
  2. Use your rifle to snipe the close German position. Move so that the MG can't hit you because of the statue.
  3. When the first position is clear, break to the left for a truck. Take cover, then continue left into another courtyard. Bring your one-man assault team, consisting of Paddock, and set him in cover behind some headstones.
  4. Use Paddock as a one-man suppression unit, and when it's safe, run along the headstones to the crypt in the south. From there, you should be able to flank a position to the west of you.
  5. Look back toward the other position. There should be another soldier joining the fight. Try to take him out before he gets settled.
  6. Now hop over the fence and go to the spot where the soldier you flanked was set up, and use his position to flank the Germans Paddock is suppressing.
  7. More enemies will show up, but in position across from you. Switch roles with Paddock and use Y to switch to your Thompson. Use it to suppress the new enemy position.
  8. Meanwhile, move Paddock closer to you. There's a wagon in front of your position, and another low wall of tombstones west of that. Put him on the tombstones and have him suppress the enemy position.
  9. Now head way west to get behind the enemy. Grab cover and blast him, then move Paddock up to his position. From there, have him step up a little more to some wood crates, while you move to a similar position nearby.
  10. Flank the MG to knock it out. Then link up with the rest of the squad and push through a gate.
  11. Go through with Paddock and take cover behind the truck just ahead. Clear the German position with sharp shooting, and a few more soldiers will appear behind them.
  12. Move up with Paddock and clear out the stragglers. It should be too much trouble.
  13. Next you'll enter a church. Grab cover and bring Paddock. Have him throw grenades at the nearest positions to clear them and give you some breathing room.
  14. Taking your time and making good shots is your best bet here. Clear as many of the soldiers as you can from cover, then use Paddock to pin down what remains. You can move up on the left side of the church to find cover from the sides to flank out the rest.
  15. Follow the compass back to find the stairs up to the church's second level. As soon as you reach it, grab cover at the nearby windows and assign Paddock to a nearby position. Lay down suppressing fire.
  16. Use your rifle to knock out a few of the guys standing across from you. You shouldn't have trouble clearing out the whole position. When it's done, turn left and you'll see a plank walkway leading to another area, with a German position just beyond.
  17. Use Paddock to suppress and clear out those soldiers. You can move all the way to the left of the plank walkway to get a better angle on some of the soldiers. When the way is mostly clear, dash across and assign Paddock to the low pile of two-by-fours for cover. Then finish clearing the hallway.
  18. Kilroy! There are numerous small alcoves along this hall. In the first one just after crossing the plank bridge is a Kilroy. Be careful, though, as it leaves you exposed to fire through the windows on the other side of the hall.
  19. Grab cover at the windows and use Paddock to suppress the numerous soldiers there. You need to clear them out so you can cross a second plank bridge further down this hallway. Use your rifle to get head shots on the soldiers, then move down the hall to engage the ones at a position further down.
  20. Knock out the soldiers one at a time using the help of Paddock. When the way is clear, cross the bridge.
  21. Quickly take cover behind more stacks of wood and open up on the flipped wooden table at the end of this hallway. You need to suppress the soldiers there so that Paddock can move up unmolested. Place him into cover and take out the two soldiers.
  22. Move up quickly to the wall just beyond the table to engage a German position on the other side.
  23. Either snipe the enemy from here or suppress them and run across the bridge to a flanking position. Then you'll enter a new area.
  24. You're back to a two-squad operation. Take to the road and find cover quickly. Just up ahead is a German truck that you need to destroy.
  25. Knock out the patrol nearby when you're set, then fire on the truck. Move forward some and the game will point out your target to you.
  26. Hit the truck with a bazooka round, then move up. There are two German positions further down the road that you won't be able to do much about, and another flanking you from the right that can be annoying.
  27. Move up your assault team and bazooka teams and try to suppress as much of the enemy force as you can. Get the assault team close enough and they'll lob grenades at the entrenched Germans to the right of you, taking them out.
  28. Now move up on that right side. Keep to cover and move your troops up until they can suppress the German MG and other positions.
  29. When you can get back to the street, look for another truck to take out and get the bazooka to hit it.
  30. Now send a team across so you can suppress the Germans and pick a few of them off. Keep moving forward, keeping aware of the elevated MG nest that's further down the road. You've still got the one straight ahead as well.
  31. With your teams in position, you should be able to land a decent shot on the MG gunner and use both squads to clear the area. Move up to where there are some large barrels and tires, and you'll see both trucks up ahead. Take them out.
  32. Knock out the ground positions, or at least suppress them, until you've got a clearing to the first now-burning truck. Move your bazooka team up to the wooden blockade there and order them to fire on the elevated MG nest.
  33. Move up to the wooden barrier and you'll see that there's a series of small courtyards to the left of the road. Send your assault team there. Go with them and move up slowly from covering wall to wall, while the bazooka team suppresses the remaining enemies.
  34. Move up until you're a decent area to almost flank, then move up your bazooka team to the other burning truck will your assault team suppresses. Look to the left again and you'll see an open storefront with a side door. Send your assault team inside to outflank the last of the soldiers.
  35. Recon! After clearing out all the soldiers on the road, head up to the roadblock just ahead to get a Recon Point.
  36. Now head east through a gate into some back yards. Bring all your troops with you. Set them into cover along the low wall here, then grab some ammo from the supply drop.
  37. Take cover further up and some soldiers will appear. Take them out and move up.
  38. Round the corner through the doorway, sending your teams through to get set up behind the small walls just on the other side. The Germans are dug in on the other side of the road. Hit them with the bazooka to meet the objective.
  39. Cross the road to enter another courtyard. Order your men to take cover behind the walls and be wary of the MG nest up ahead in the second-story window of a house.
  40. Kilroy! Take a second while your men are fighting in this courtyard and follow the wall to the southwest. It bends around the side of the battle, and there's a Kilroy just hanging out on it.
  41. Use your assault team to suppress the MG and send your bazooka team to the small house to the north. From there, they should be able to take out the machine gun nest.
  42. With that done, move up to the wall in front of you that has a walkway through it. On the other side is a wall you can take cover on. Set up both your teams there and engage the area.
  43. Pin down the enemy, then sprint south to find a wall you can use to flank. Hit the enemies from the side while moving up your men.
  44. You'll head into the house when you've cleared the area for another one-man mission.
  45. Head in and round the corner to the left. Blast the German radio operator while his back is turned to complete an objective.
  46. Another soldier will kick in the door in front of you. Get ready to unload on him when he does.
  47. Now head back out to reunite with your squad. They're already grabbing cover to take on a few German positions up ahead on the road.
  48. Hit the Germans from here to suppress them, then head west with your assault team. You should be able to eliminate most of the enemies with a bazooka round.
  49. To the west, you'll find yourself in another back yard. Move up behind cover, bringing your fire teams along with you.
  50. Move up until you're behind the 88. Set your assault team to some cover nearby and take out the Germans protecting it, then hit it with a bazooka shell to finish them and the gun off.
  51. Recon! Just to the west of this 88 is a Recon Point. Check your map with the Back Button to find it.
  52. Now head past the 88 to the street and take cover. Bring up your troops and take on the German positions that line the area. You've also got another 88 further down to contend with.
  53. Blast at the German positions as best you can, suppressing them and moving up.
  54. Kilroy! There are paths east and west here into back yard areas. Take the western one and you'll find a building just north of the path to access the area, over a small wall. Go there and look at the larger building's western wall to find the map's last Kilroy.
  55. When you can, head east into a courtyard. Bring your assault team and grab cover in a flanking position against the forward German positions.
  56. With those cleared, suppress the 88 and the other position nearby, and call up your bazooka team. Have them put fire on the 88 to keep it suppressed.
  57. Move the assault team across the street so that it's drawing the 88's fire straight in front. Then send the bazooka team there as well.
  58. Destroy the last of the German position to the east of the gun and move up, grabbing cover. Cross the street and take cover at the corner of the building there.
  59. With your fire teams drawing the 88's fire, run up beside the 88. If it doesn't move to engage you, switch to your machine gun and kill its crew.
  60. If it does turn, which it should, make it wheel all the way so that its side is exposed to the bazooka team, then order them to fire on it. You should be able to kill the gun before it kills you.
  61. With the gun destroyed, the mission ends.

Mission Five: Operation Garden

  1. You've got command of two squads in this mission and you start indoors. Your fire team will take its position behind some iron girders and engage German troops to the south.
  2. Past that, to the east, is a flight of stairs. Head up and bring your assault team with you.
  3. On the second floor you can shoot down on the German position some from the catwalk, but it's haphazard at best. Instead, proceed to the next room and position your assault team in the doorway.
  4. They'll clear out German troops inside the room. You can then go in and head to the back of the room to shoot down on the German position downstairs.
  5. Recon! Go to the northeast corner of this room to find a Recon Point.
  6. Go back downstairs and head through the door into the newly cleared room. To the west is the doorway into another room that has German positions inside.
  7. Set your fire team on the north end of the room facing the doorway behind cover and have them suppress the German position.
  8. With the position suppressed, pull up the assault team into the next room, to the cover position just through the doorway. Have them assault the German position ahead.
  9. The next position is to the east. Move your fire team into the room east of your assault team, where they can suppress the Germans there. They should even be able to assault it with grenades and clear it.
  10. Now go south with your assault team, where you'll find flanking cover to hit the other German position just behind the first on this side of the room.
  11. The final German position is behind you, to the west, and outside. Position a team at a hole in the wall and let them destroy it.
  12. Kilroy! Standing in front of the hole in the wall, turn north. Along the western wall of the building is a staircase and a small crawl space filled with water. Walk down this path to the end to find a Kilroy on the northern wall.
  13. Quickly get to cover, as Germans have pushed in behind you and will take you out if you're not careful.
  14. Go back to the east side of the room and grab cover. Use your teams to suppress the two MG-42s ahead and move up slowly behind cover.
  15. Try to snipe the MG-42 gunner on the ground floor to get it off your back. Move up some, then head west to continue to move up.
  16. There's a German position just ahead on this side of the room. Suppress it, then move up your assault team so they can do what they do -- assault.
  17. With the position in front of you clear, suppress the MG and move up quickly underneath it. Leave a team behind to draw its fire and get behind it.
  18. Move to the staircase on the west side of the room just below the MG. Send your assault team up to cover just inside the MG room to destroy it.
  19. Now, across from you to the east is another position. Move your assault team to the eastern wall of the MG room to suppress them, and snipe them from the window on the south side.
  20. Knocking out this last position nets your objective. You next need to move up to secure the top floor of the building.
  21. Move to the last position the Germans held to the east. You should see a door with a blinking red light above it, marking an elevator.
  22. Taking the elevator takes you to the upper floor and into a new area. The Germans here are in a position past some wood crates to the southwest. Set up a position to suppress the team -- it has a bazooka -- and head west into the next room.
  23. Kilroy! Head through the western door as soon as you hit the top of the elevator and turn right so you're facing north. You'll see a Kilroy on the north wall just inside the door.
  24. Set a team into cover to continue to suppress the other two positions to the south.
  25. Go back to where you left the first team. Move them forward out of range of the Germans along the eastern wall. Push into the next room where you'll find cover.
  26. Right on the other side of the wall to the west of you is the first bazooka team. You can't hit it from here, but you can kill them with a grenade. Check your Tactical Map for their position, then throw a grenade to clear them.
  27. See if you can snipe at the position to the west of you from here. You should be able to nail a few good head shots while you're in cover. If not, toss a grenade to clear out the Germans.
  28. Move forward just a little to take a position beside the doorway into the western hallway. Suppress the German positions ahead as best you can and move up the team you left on the west side of the map.
  29. Bring your team right up to where you just cleared the German position on the west wall. They should be able to engage the position just ahead of it with grenades and clear that one, too.
  30. You should also move up your fire team on the east side of the area. There's lateral cover along the eastern wall that they can use to flank.
  31. Suppress the last two positions. When the way is clear, move your assault team straight up to the position just in front of the forward German position and assault it.
  32. Now move a team up to the window just in front of the last set of Germans. Assault that position.
  33. You're in the clear when this last position is destroyed. Head into the room and grab ammo from the supply point. Continue heading south.
  34. Enter the room to the south and you'll see some Germans crossing a small causeway between the buildings. Set up your teams to get crossfire on them as they enter. Wait until they're all the way in the room before ambushing them.
  35. You should be in prime position to flank all three German positions with ease. Assault the last one to clear the room.
  36. Head across the causeway to the next building.
  37. Recon! Stop on the bridge to find a Recon Point.
  38. Get behind cover quickly on the other side of the bridge, as there are German positions all around you.
  39. Ahead to the south is an MG nest, with two tough German positions to the east. Set up facing the eastern positions and start suppressing them.
  40. Toss a grenade against the wall to the left to the northernmost German position to take it out. Then have your team suppress the team beside it.
  41. Move up to the doorway and try to hit the Germans as they're popping up. It shouldn't be too difficult.
  42. Move a team right behind the table just inside the doorway. They need to put fire on a team around the corner to the south.
  43. Your team will probably bring down the Germans here on their own, who are fairly exposed. Now move south along the eastern wall down until you're alongside the MG-42. Move over and flank it to clear the objective.
  44. There are also two Panzershrek teams on the floor below you, on the western side of the map. From the MG's former position, you can head north along the west wall and shoot down on these panzer teams to eliminate them.
  45. Now follow your compass back to a staircase that leads to the roof. It's a new area. You'll also be alone for this section.
  46. Stealth is key. Ahead is a German sniper shooting down into the town. Run around the equipment here and head for a square stack of wood to the south.
  47. Kilroy! While the sniper is buys, head around behind him to the other side of the roof, past the supply drop. Look along the wall to the right for the mission's last Kilroy.
  48. Move along the sign and Baker will grab a sniper rifle. Take cover and start sniping out the German positions. The one to the west is the easiest.
  49. Next, take out the MG position far to the south. It'll give you the most headache if you don't clear it.
  50. Clear another MG position in the second floor to the west of the first nest. Then focus on the four German soldiers north of there, hiding behind some sand bags.
  51. Two more MG positions will appear -- one to the east and one south of it, in a train car. Take them out one at a time with quick strikes before dropping back into cover.
  52. Now focus on the forward sand bag position, which has been restocked by German soldiers. Clear it out.
  53. The next wave includes two MGs to the north and two bazooka teams to the east and north. Kill the eastern bazooka first, then get other bazooka as he heads to the train car in the center of the area.
  54. TIP: If you need ammo, jump out of cover and turn around to find a supply drop right behind you in the center of the roof.
  55. With both bazookas down, hit the MG gunners next. That will leave only less-dangerous soldiers to mop up at the MG positions and at the forward sand bag positions.
  56. With the last of the soldiers down, you'll take control of the tank. Hit the 88 with the cannon using Right Trigger and kill the infantry bazooka team that shows up with the Left Trigger.
  57. Try to keep the side of your tank from being exposed to enemy fire. Advance forward and look east to find an MG nest. Take it out with the cannon.
  58. Further to the east is a bazooka team and a regular infantry team. Hit the bazooka team with the cannon at a distance to clear it before it gives you any trouble. Mop up running soldiers with your machine gun.
  59. Now turn your attention to that MG nest, keeping something in between it and you while you kill the panzer team. Hit it hard to kill it.
  60. TIP: The tank is most effective when you aim its main gun at an enemy's cover, like sand bags. The explosion is more than enough to clear enemy soldiers out.
  61. Most important here is identifying and destroying enemy positions before they have a chance to shoot at you. Move up and you'll catch sight of an 88 position. Hit it a little on the high side to destroy it.
  62. Continue forward and, just as it becomes visible, fire at the bazooka team setting up on your right.
  63. There's another 88 just past the train beside you on that same side. Roll up and destroy it, then hit the one just beyond it.
  64. The next few positions are protected by a derailed train. You'll need to move further up before you can hit any of them, including the fifth 88 emplacement.
  65. As soon as you have a clear shot, hit the train car just ahead to your left to take out two German positions. Quickly move up and hit the 88 just to your left, or it will turn to fire on you.
  66. Look ahead at the bridge that cross the train yard, where you'll see a bazooka team setting up. Take them out. Move up and two more will be there as well.
  67. Now head a little to the left to find a clear shot at two more 88s. Hit them fast to prevent them from fighting back.
  68. That leaves just one more, which will become visible as you move forward. Blast it and continue through the area to meet the last objectives.
  69. You'll move into another building alone. Advance through the room to a doorway just ahead. Turn left and knock out the Germans that are engaged in a firefight with your squad outside.
  70. Turn around and head up the stairs. Turn left at the top and go down the hall until you reach another intersection. When you're there, head down to the right.
  71. Go to the second open door to find the boy and meet your objective. You'll also end the mission.

Mission Six: Baptism of Fire

  1. You start the mission with an MG team and assault team and two German positions to the north, just ahead. Their position is elevated, which puts you at a disadvantage.
  2. Recon! Spin around and face south immediately at the start of the mission. You'll see a hill with a sandbag emplacement on the top. Climb it and face north again to access a Recon Point.
  3. Suppress the German positions and run forward into the canal, where you can take cover against the bank. Bring your assault team with you.
  4. From here, send them up to the east to where there's some lateral cover. They can flank the eastern German position from this spot.
  5. Move up with them and take out the eastern position. Look a little ways north and you'll see another piece of lateral cover that will allow you to flank out the other position. Send your assault team.
  6. More Germans appear to the north. Suppress them with the assault team and bring up the MG team to a pile of tires just northwest of you.
  7. Order the MG team to suppress the German positions and the filling station behind the Germans will explode. That leaves one position to suppress.
  8. Send your assault team to the west to a low brick wall and put their fire on the Germans, then send your MG team north to some lateral cover near the filling station. It'll flush the Germans from their position, allowing you to take them out.
  9. With that done, open your map and look for a Recon Point to the southeast. Head there now to recon the area.
  10. Set your MG team on the north-facing cover near the filling station and head that way. As you do, more enemy soldiers will take up a position just ahead of you. Suppress it.
  11. Clear the forward position -- it shouldn't be tough -- and send your assault team forward to the next available cover. More German positions will be established to the north and northwest, including an MG. Suppress it and move your assault team up to the next cover area, just north and west of you.
  12. You can now get inside the gas station to use it as cover, as well as use the truck and tires in this area. It's enough to give you some relative safety, but there's a two-man German position on the west side of the filling station that might be able to flank you. Get inside the gas station facing west and find some cover.
  13. Taking out this position should be a pretty simple one-man job. Look for one soldier to be right up against the gas station window, the other behind the truck to the west. Kill both, then turn your attention back to that MG.
  14. Kilroy! There's a Kilroy on the southern wall of the gas station's back room, near the door that leads to the area that's on fire.
  15. Move around the side of the truck on the north side of the gas station. From cover on its back end, you should have sidelong shots at both the southern German position on the road and the MG-42 behind it. Knock out both.
  16. Do what you can to suppress the last two positions. Run up along the road when it's clear to the cover that includes a burning truck.
  17. At this point, all the firefighting through the wooden fence west of the road should have pretty much pulverized it. That will reveal some square wood pile cover positions. Send your assault team up while the enemy is suppressed.
  18. Now order your assault team to attack the German position just in front of them. They'll knock it out with a grenade.
  19. Suppress the last German position and move your assault team up behind the lateral cover on the west side of the area. Have them jump between cover until they reach the one under a tree that flanks the last German position.
  20. With that done, follow the compass to complete the objective. You'll also enter a new area.
  21. Follow your compass to get out of the bomb shelter. You don't need to worry about German entanglements until you get your next objective.
  22. When you reach the blasted wall, set your squad to take cover against it. On the other side are several German troops in the open, as well as an inattentive MG gunner.
  23. Use the element of surprise to take out the MG and order your men to fire on the exposed Germans. You should be able to take out most of them.
  24. Clear the rest of the soldiers here yourself with solid shooting, then move to the south inside your building. There's another position just across the road in the bombed out house there. Move your squad over and put suppressing fire on it.
  25. With the southern position suppressed, you can send your men up to the couch that's just on the other side of the wall to the north of the position, near where you took out the MG. From there, the team will flank the Germans and knock them out.
  26. Your mission is to push forward to the east through the debris. Bring up a team with you and head in, keeping an eye out for movement on the upper levels of the surrounding area. When a German position appears in front of you, take cover and suppress or destroy it.
  27. Good shooting will clear out the one or two Germans above. Keep moving forward with your men.
  28. You'll enter a burning house before long. Go through it to find a hole in the floor. Once you drop down, you can't go back.
  29. Go down and turn right, south, to see a German position. Grab cover and suppress it.
  30. You can head west to move through the basement and flank the position. Come around and grab the angled cover near the position, which may send a soldier scrambling for new cover.
  31. Kill him and go through the hole in the wood wall ahead of you. Take cover at the corner and then fire on the Germans, whose flank is exposed from here.
  32. Kilroy! Backtrack to the offshoot hallway you passed on your way to flanking the Germans here. Follow it back to find a low wall where you can take cover from an MG gunner. Suppress it and kill the gunner with sharp shooting to gain access to a Kilroy. It's on the east side of the room, on the southern face of a piece of crumbling wall.
  33. Go back to where you flanked the Germans and follow your compass up the dirt ramp out of the basement. Ahead is a low wall where you can take cover. Do so quickly with your squad, as there are three German positions ahead, including one MG-42.
  34. Suppress the Germans that you can, then sprint south toward an open door into a house. Grab the wooden table for cover just inside.
  35. There's a German position just ahead, and you're behind crappy cover. Get a grenade out and carefully aim it at the side of the position. Throw it and you'll either kill the Germans or, more likely, flush them from cover.
  36. Call up your assault team and head further south. The Germans have moved to the back east corner of the house. Move up your assault team to the doorway just in front of their position and order an assault.
  37. That should take out the Germans in the house, giving you an area to flank some of the outside positions from.
  38. Set up on cover on the north side of the building and shoot at the Germans north of you. You'll likely flush them down a ramp into the building to the north.
  39. You can't do much else from here except get shot by the two MG emplacements in second-story windows to the east. Instead, backtrack out of the house and leave your assault team behind.
  40. Head north to the burning house, grabbing cover where you can. Push east until you find a low wall on the north side of the road, looking down into the foundation of a leveled house. This is where the Germans in the road retreated to.
  41. From this position, find the remaining Germans, if there are any, and take them out from above.
  42. Move your assault team up the south side of the road, using the burning house for cover. Get them to take cover at the debris that's blocking the road, then put suppressing fire on the MGs in the window.
  43. TIP: Even from this distance, it pays to put fire on the MG gunners. You may even get lucky and nail a headshot, even without taking the proper time to earn it by steadying your aim and taking your time. Don't waste ammo, however, but do try to knock out the guns more easily.
  44. Suppress the guns and try to take out the gunners. With suppressing fire there, you should be able to move your MG team up to the side of your assault team to put more pressure on the guns.
  45. With the guns held down, try to shoot the gunners. If you can't, just continue to head north, down into the foundation of the house beside you.
  46. As you go through the door, set your teams to the various cover positions here. The MG team should take the position facing straight east. Put the assault team on the angled cover you come to first. Then head along the south of the area through another room to find a flanking position, or send your assault team.
  47. Kilroy! Backtrack after you've cleared the German position to the supply drop in the northwestern corner of this basement. You may also notice this is the area where you dropped the MG gunner to get the Kilroy.
  48. Follow the compass through a small door at the end of the basement, and spring to cover just ahead. There's an exposed German position just ahead of you, so have your squad flatten it.
  49. Continue past the position you just cleared into the house. Follow the compass until you meet an objective, then set up cover to repel a German counterattack.
  50. Set your MG team to suppress the MG in the distance, and use your assault team to attack the Germans as they get close.
  51. TIP: Keep an eye out for the MG gunner to make a move to get closer. When he does, try to take him out while he's in motion, or before he's set up when he reaches his destination on the north side of the battlefield.
  52. Watch for Germans to take up a sidelong cover position to the south. Their cover is bad even if they do flank you. Your men will move out of the way automatically, and you can easily snipe their heads when they're down.
  53. The Germans during the counterattack will do the hard work of helping you kill them by moving. Basically issue orders to hit enemies on the move and you'll be able to mop them up just fine. When the last one dies, your objective is complete.
  54. Continue through the house following your compass until you come to a doorway leading outside. Set up for cover and start suppressing German positions.
  55. Set your MG in a window and suppress the nearby German position just to the north, then send your assault team outside to cover. Follow them and move along the various cover items to the east to get into flanking position.
  56. Get into position behind a truck to the east of the forward German position and flank it.
  57. Move up as far north as you can along this path. There are a few more German positions ahead, including an MG. Bring up your assault team and flank any other German positions you can hit.
  58. Use the assault team to suppress the MG as best it can. Move up your own MG team along the west side of the area, where there are several cover positions all facing north. When they get far enough forward, they should be able to assault the closest German position.
  59. With that clear, more Germans will rush out of the northern house and take up positions. As they're moving, order your MG team to lay into them. They should be able to clear quite a few.
  60. In the far north is still an enemy MG, as well as a German position that has a fair shot at you. You can still flank all of them, however. Use your assault team to put pressure on the northern position, which is near an open flame.
  61. Look to the northwest to see a lateral set of cover objects that are at the right angle for perfect protection, and bolt for it. From there, take out the Germans behind the truck.
  62. You can then move up and take a position facing east that will allow you to flank the position your MG team is firing at.
  63. Finally, switch to the Thompson and approach the back of the truck to the north, where the MG gunner is. Ambush him to kill him and meet the objective.
  64. You'll next be moving into the burning house. Run straight north from the truck to a small alcove with a window that looks sideways into the front of the house. Use it to flank the soldier inside.
  65. Follow the compass through the burning house. Come out the other side and head north and immediately take up cover position. A ton of German soldiers will enter the area for you to ambush.
  66. Wait till they're all standing around, then issue firing orders. Your better positioning and element of surprise should be more than enough to clear the area easily.
  67. With the area clear, continue north.
  68. Kilroy! As you're heading north through the archway here, turn to your left to see a staircase that descends to a closed door. Head down and look on the left (south) side wall for the third and final Kilroy in this mission.
  69. You'll next be alone in the burning house. You need to keep moving to avoid being burned to death by the fire.
  70. Keep moving and use your compass to help direct you. Vault over the first low desk, climb the steps, and keep moving. Turn right and duck under the broken piece of ceiling.
  71. Continue around the hole in the floor through the open door. Run as fast as you can and make for any open doors. The path is somewhat twisting, but fairly easy to see.
  72. Soon you'll come to a ramp. Head up it to end the mission.

Mission Seven: The Rabbit Hole

  1. The mission starts with you nearly defenseless. Your only weapon is your pistol, but your objective is to eliminate the three German patrols in the area.
  2. That means getting into a fight. But since you have limited supplies and weaponry, you want it to be a fight you'll easily win. Therefore, head east.
  3. Follow the river around toward a supply drop at the end. Just to the west of the drop is a German sentinel, beside a small building.
  4. Sneak toward the soldier and take cover behind the wooden fence there. Wait until the soldier isn't facing you, then stand up and take him out as quickly as possible.
  5. TIP: The Tactical Map is your best friend in the early part of this mission. Use it to make sure there aren't any patrolling German soldiers waiting to take you on the moment you kill your lone enemy.
  6. Jump up, grab the fallen soldiers MP40, and take cover near the house. It has next to no ammo, so while the other German soldiers are scrambling to take cover to the west of you, sprint back to the supply drop behind you.
  7. Load up and return to your cover position. Suppress the closest German position and make a break for the sandbag cover just northwest of you.
  8. Suppress the Germans so you can move up to the cover that's angled beside them. It'll cause both soldiers to abandon their position, so you can cut them down as they run.
  9. Now grab cover on the low wall where the two soldiers were just hiding. Head north to the other side of the truck here and take out a soldier standing in the open. Kill him.
  10. Move back to where you were and suppress the German position ahead. Try to catch the enemy when they pop their heads up to thin them out.
  11. There aren't many places to move up to, so this may take some fancy shooting. The good news is that this is the last German position. When you've cleared it, the objective is complete.
  12. Head into the abandoned hospital to enter a new area.
  13. The path through the hospital is fairly straightforward. Make your way east over the small wall, then head down the hallway.
  14. TIP: There's another ammo drop here if you need it.
  15. Turn left, north, through the door when you hit a barricade of flames. Continue north through the doorways, then head east when you can't go north anymore.
  16. Kilroy! Continue to move through the rooms until you come to a hallway that leads east and west, but with a door straight across from you. The room across is the southernmost area you'll have reached up to this point. Go into the southern room and turn the corner to the west. Head to the northern wall here behind the green curtain to find a Kilroy.
  17. Follow the halls and take the only available doors until you get to a room with long counters covered in glass bottles. Take cover behind the counters here and keep your eyes open for a two-man German patrol.
  18. The patrol will move in and out of the rooms ahead. Wait till they're not paying attention, then move up and hide behind something else. You want to get as close to the patrol as possible.
  19. One or two rooms forward, you should find the patrol moving just in front of you as you're hiding. Wait for a good opportunity (but don't let them get behind you), pop up and blast them.
  20. Continue through the rooms heading south. You'll reach a hallway when you can't go further south. Take that to the east.
  21. You'll hit a checkpoint here, and before long there will be another patrol moving through the halls to the northeast. Take cover and ambush them.
  22. When they're dead, follow your compass north into a large room. Take cover in the doorway, as there's another patrol up ahead. Sneak up on them and kill them from behind.
  23. You're heading east next. Take cover on the wall that is adjacent to a hallway lit green. Wait there for another patrolling soldier to come by.
  24. Kill him and vault into the hallway. Cross into the large room to the east and take cover in the doorway looking north. You may run into another soldier here. Kill him and advance northward.
  25. Kilroy! Take the door to the east to enter a hallway with a dead end. Follow the hallway to about the halfway point, then look south for a Kilroy.
  26. Backtrack into the last room you were in and look to the west. You'll find a small hole in the wall that you can climb into. Turn north.
  27. When the wall on the west side gets thin, look through to find a German soldier patrolling. Shoot him.
  28. Recon! You can vault over cover here to bust through the wall. Head west from here to find a Recon Point.
  29. Follow the wall along to the east until you come to another hole. Step through and take cover quickly. There's another patrol moving in the hallway to the north.
  30. Wait until you can easily kill them, then do so. Be careful, as there may be more soldiers to the west.
  31. There's also a position down the hall to the east. Move into the hallway from the easternmost door and take cover behind a desk there. Eliminating the soldiers should be pretty easy.
  32. Turn around and head west to the door that goes south. Go through and turn back around so you're facing north to find a Kilroy beside the door.
  33. Head down the hall and turn north. Take the room to the east where there's a hole in the wall.
  34. Recon! Stop by the table with photos on it to find this map's second Recon Point.
  35. Crawl through the hole to the east and head forward into the amphitheater to activate a cutscene.
  36. Continue following the halls until you come to one with a gently swinging light, just past where you'll pass a supply drop. Take cover against the north wall and check through the doorway.
  37. There should be a German patrol in the next room. Ambush them when they're not looking.
  38. Continue on through the halls. You'll pass a burning chair. Keep going through a hole in the wall and past a hole in the floor. Vault over cover here.
  39. Keep going until you have to duck under some cover. Climb a flight of stairs and you'll activate another cutscene.
  40. Follow Hartsock when you get control back. You'll recognize this portion of the mission from the opening mission of the game, Lost.
  41. You'll soon come to a hallway where an explosion injures Baker. Sprint to the end of the hallway, then take cover near the blasted section of wall.
  42. Ambush the German soldier who appears, then trade fire with the position just beyond the hole in the floor. Take them out before proceeding.
  43. TIP: Pin these soldiers down and Hartsock will flank them automatically.
  44. Continue to follow Hartsock's lead, taking cover when he does. He'll soon kneel down as two German soldiers run through an intersection of the hallway ahead. Take cover behind a sofa or something similar to fight the Germans.
  45. Move up slowly and take cover when Hartsock does to avoid being spotted by another German patrol. Wait till he passes, then move up and shoot him through the window facing east.
  46. Now move into the hallway and take cover on the corner of the door leading into the next room. There are two German positions here.
  47. Suppress the position ahead of you to move up and take cover. If you can clear it, do so. If not, suppress the position that's to the west and move toward it. Take cover ahead of it to get a good angle on the first position. With Hartsock's help, you shouldn't have much trouble.
  48. Continue after Hartsock. You'll come to a hallway in which the lights go out. After a short talk with Hartsock, take cover a the entrance to the next room.
  49. There are two German soldiers patrolling in the open beyond. Take them out.
  50. Another pair of soldiers will attempt to run into the room and take cover. Unload on them, then continue on into the amphitheater. That ends the mission.

Mission Eight: Black Friday

  1. You'll be given a bazooka and fire team in this mission and start in the town's triangular center. Your goal is to clear it out. Check the map with Back to take note of the Recon Point almost straight west of the mission's start point.
  2. You're facing an MG-42 and additional troops in the center of the intersection. Order the bazooka team to take out the position to clear both.
  3. Flank the central position by moving to the west along the northern road to clear any stragglers. You'll see three more positions to the south, however. You need to attack them from the west side of the area.
  4. Bring both teams here against the low wall bordering the intersection on the north. From here they can suppress all three positions.
  5. Make sure all three are suppressed, then move west and then southeast along the roads. Jump from cover position to position until you can move into a blown out house to the west.
  6. Take cover here and you'll be mostly protected from the two positions to the side of you. Ahead is a pair of German soldiers who are spread out -- one is directly ahead in another blasted building, the other to your left behind some sand bags.
  7. Move up while the enemy is suppressed to the corner of the blasted house just ahead of you, and pop the German ahead when he pokes his head out.
  8. Recon! When it's relatively safe to do so, stop at the Recon Point just southwest of the center of the intersection.
  9. From here, move a little further south, so that you're alongside all the other German positions. Knock them out from flanking safety, continuing to move east until you've cleared them all.
  10. That completes your objective. Next you need to continue south and take out a Flak 88 cannon. Move your teams along the southbound road.
  11. The enemy is holed up in a building just south of the German positions you just destroyed. Your men will have trouble hitting them inside there, but just move up carefully to the doorway and you'll be able to take out anyone inside.
  12. Rally your troops and move through the building's bottom floor. When you clear it, you'll find yourself on the other side of a debris barricade, about to rejoin the road.
  13. Set up on cover and leave your bazooka team against the corner of the building you're standing beside. Just beyond you on the road is a car that will soon be the location of a German position. Use the bazooka to knock it out immediately.
  14. Look south and you'll see the Germans' 88 and two position just ahead of it. Suppress them if you can and quickly head straight east of the car to access some back yards.
  15. Take cover quickly, as a German position will be set up just south of you almost immediately.
  16. Move one squad to the low wall that runs along the east side of the courtyard until they're close to the Germans. Jump the wall and take position near the small shed and you'll get an angle to take out the enemies on the other side of the southern wall.
  17. Kilroy! Spin around and look for an outbuilding in the northeastern corner of the back yard. Look for a Kilroy on this building on its southern wall, on the west side of the fence.
  18. Now focus on the four German positions to the south, including the hard-hitting 88 and an elevated MG-42. The MG is your first priority.
  19. Move your teams up to the southern low wall ahead of you. You need to suppress the enemy positions, then move up to the wrecked car ahead.
  20. Do so when the way is clear. Bring the bazooka team and target the MG-42.
  21. With that down, suppress the area's enemies and move up to the low wall just in front of the MG-42. Bring your fire team and have them attack the German position to the west to at least make the soldiers there move.
  22. Send the bazooka team to the wrecked car to the east and have them target the 88. This will clear it of soldiers, essentially putting it out of commission.
  23. Finally, any straggling German units will have moved to the extreme south of the area around the 88. You can flank them easily by going east down the road here and turning south to reach the back yards of the nearby houses. Face west for a clean shot on the enemy.
  24. Now destroy the 88 with the bazooka or a satchel charge.
  25. Continue south to take out the last of the German troops. They'll set up along the south-running road beside where the 88 was. It's near a supply drop.
  26. Move into the church just south of the 88 to flank the enemies and finish the objective.
  27. Next you'll be pushing through the wall here near the supply drop. Take cover facing west as German soldiers set up a position ahead.
  28. Use sharp shooting to clear the two soldiers, then push through the tunnel. Take cover positions around the corner and take on the next position.
  29. You can flank this position by moving through the open door south of your position, through the building. Two more appear after you've done so, just to the west.
  30. Kilroy! Right beside the door on the other end of the building is a Kilroy. It's on a west-facing wall just south of the door.
  31. The men in the southern position are easy to shoot while they're in cover because they're fairly exposed, so clear as many as you can. You may be able to knock it out entirely
  32. Now move up your squads so that one is on the north side of the area behind the shed that's just in front of the German positions. From there, your men can deploy grenades and clear out the Germans.
  33. Continue west and you'll find the entrance to a building. Go inside and set up in the doorway facing north to take on a German position.
  34. An easy way to clear this position is to throw a grenade beside it with your men in position to lay down suppressing fire. The grenade will either kill the enemies or send them scattering for your men to take down.
  35. Now advance down the hall and have your fire team take cover in the doorway again. Suppress the German position just beyond and use sharp shooting and assault orders to clear out the last of the enemies.
  36. That completes your objective. Hop the overturned desk and take cover under the windows of the municipal building, facing north. More Germans are taking positions just outside the building.
  37. Suppress the German position and hop out the window to take cover just beyond. A tank will roll into view -- that's your next objective.
  38. Move quickly to the west to find a flanking position. Use it to take out the infantry soldiers attacking your men in the municipal building.
  39. Recon! From this cover position, look north at the storefront beside the car to get the map's second Recon Point.
  40. Next you'll need to take on a pair of Panzer IV tanks. One is running a patrolling pattern to the north-northeast.
  41. Wait till the tank moves behind the buildings where you can't see it. Quickly move up your bazooka team to the low wall beside the road on the west side.
  42. From here you should be able to use the bazooka to hit the panzer from the side. Use your fire team still holed up in the municipal building to keep the tank's attention while the bazooka hits it.
  43. Hit the tank hard in the back as it comes by. It may take more than one shot to take it out, but the tank shouldn't pose much threat due to its constant movement.
  44. The second tank can be found to the east, in the back yard of some buildings. Move into the back yards and take cover along a building facing north. Just beyond is a wood fence with a German position behind it.
  45. Clear the soldiers, then set up your fire team on the sand bags facing east to draw the panzer's fire.
  46. At the same time, move along the south side of the area through the court yards with your bazooka team to engage the tank's flank.
  47. Kilroy! This close to the tank, take a second to get the mission's last Kilroy. It's straight to the east on an L-shaped building that makes up the southeast corner of the yards here. Look on the south face of the L. You must get this Kilroy before destroying the second tank.
  48. You should be mere feet from the tank, so run up quickly and hit it with a satchel charge if you can. That'll put it out immediately and secure your objective.
  49. From here, you'll pilot a XXX Corps tank. Roll forward onto the road and turn immediately west to take out a German position and 88.
  50. Clear out the rest of the Germans and you'll soon come on plenty more positions. These include two panzershrek teams, a panzer tank, an MG and several infantry soldiers.
  51. Try to roll back to keep yourself from taking too much fire. Hit the stationary panzershreks first, then wait for the panzer to show you its side and take it out.
  52. Mop of the rest of the infantry and continue by following your compass.
  53. ACHIEVEMENT ALERT! You've already earned the Anti-Tank achievement, one of the secret ones. Another that's attainable only when driving a tank is the Tons of Fun Achievement. Earn it by running over five German infantrymen with the tank.
  54. Take the road east into the back yards of several buildings. Just ahead is an 88 that will harass you if you let it.
  55. Instead, head to the south side of the area and take out all the area infantry, including one or two panzershrek teams. When they're clear, move alongside the 88 and attack it from the south.
  56. Follow the compass back out to the road after destroying the 88. You'll get a checkpoint. Hit the MG-42 and elevated panzershrek team on the north side of the street as you round the corner.
  57. Then hit the panzershrek team to the south just as quickly.
  58. Clear out the infantrymen and panzershreks as soon as you see them as you advance down the street. As you approach the intersection, a panzer tank will appear straight to the west.
  59. Trade fire with the enemy tank and do your best to avoid its fire. Hit it hard enough and you'll destroy it, either from the side or with more hits from the front.
  60. Watch for a hidden panzershrek team just inside the building on the corner to the north. They'll attempt to take you out as you pass the building.
  61. Clean up the last of the German soldiers to end the mission.

Mission Nine: Hell's Highway

  1. Armed with a fire and assault team, you'll first be moving straight up the highway toward enemy positions. Take cover and suppress them, then move laterally as much as you can to flank.
  2. The first few positions can be assaulted or knocked out with sharp shooting. When you get a little further along, you'll be engaged by an MG-42 to the northeast.
  3. You can move up in cover from the MG. As you do, a mortar will destroy some vehicles just ahead of you, and enemy troops will set up a machine gun position beyond.
  4. This new MG is fairly exposed. Hit the gunner with your rifle to knock it out quickly.
  5. Move your men into cover where you can break to the west through a farm. Suppress the nearby enemy positions, then make your way around the side to flank the forward German position.
  6. Now bring your teams to you to start suppressing the MG-42. Beyond it is a Flak 88.
  7. Set up your fire team on the dirt wall west of the 88, on the far side of the road.
  8. Look for a path that leads north on the east side of the area. You're dealing with heavy firepower in four MGs and the 88, but the trench along the east side of the area will allow you to flank the entire German force with ease.
  9. You can bring your assault team or leave them behind to suppress enemy fighters. It's probably best to leave them, as they'll mop up any Germans you flush from cover.
  10. Still moving along the trench wall, get to the north side of the area. There's a house there, with a truck parked beside it. Take cover at the back of the truck.
  11. From here, knock out the nearby two or three MG positions that you can hit. Issue new suppression orders and run to the side of the north side of the house.
  12. Follow the walls all the way around and take cover at the northwestern corner. From here, shoot all the remaining German soldiers, including the 88 crew.
  13. Kilroy! Head east from the 88 until you're behind the large building, then turn north. Walk north about halfway until you see a trough against the east wall of the big building. Beside it is a Kilroy.
  14. Go back to the 88 and destroy the gun.
  15. Head toward the canal to the north. Enter it where a truck has destroyed the fence and take cover. There are German positions ahead, including one on the bridge above you.
  16. The only way through is with good shooting and overwhelming firepower. Hit the soldier on the bridge first, as his cover is the weakest.
  17. If you need to, a grenade can help soften up the forward enemy positions. Otherwise, pull your secondary weapon, which is an automatic, and hug the walls of the canal. There should be sufficient cover there for you to get close to the enemy.
  18. When you're ready, use your squad to suppress while you assault the enemy position and clean it out.
  19. Move through the canal -- there's only three or four positions to clear, and once they're gone, you'll clear another objective.
  20. Next you'll have to move through a farm while taking 88 fire from the northeast. Ahead is an elevated MG-42, along with German positions that will be set up just in front of the canal.
  21. Move forward and take cover at the sandbags just beyond the canal. Bring up both squads and start laying down suppressing fire.
  22. The two positions closest you should be easily destroyed by your assault team's grenades. After that, target any Germans in the open and suppress the remaining two or three positions.
  23. With the enemy suppressed, sprint up to the fallen tree on the west side of the area. You'll be able to get some flanking shots off here, but at the very least, cause the Germans to leave their cover and be cut down by your squad.
  24. Suppress the new German position to the north and move your squad up in a leapfrog manner. Order your assault team to take cover at the sandbags just east of your position.
  25. From here, your squad will have an easy time shredding the forward German position, which is using a wood fence for cover. Stay down so as to MG fire.
  26. When the coast is clear, check your Tactical Map. You'll see the wood fence north of your squad's position, behind which are two animal troughs. Send your assault team to take cover behind one.
  27. Now order it to assault the German position behind a stack of wood to clear it. Quickly move the squad out of harm's way.
  28. Move up so that the MG has difficulty hitting you and snipe its gunner.
  29. Turn your attention to the front of the stable just in front of you. The southern windows should be filling with German soldiers. Order your assault team to use grenades.
  30. Leave your squad outside of this building taking cover behind the windows. Use them to clear out any Germans in sight.
  31. Head around the east side of the building to find an entrance into the stables. Grab cover behind some piles of hay and engage the German position across from you. It shouldn't be much trouble.
  32. Leave your squad outside until you're ready to move through the building and take on the 88. The Flak cannon can find a small but devastating angle through the downed trucks outside the stable and take out your men as they're moving to cover.
  33. Recon! Head up to the second floor of the stable and look through the window that held the MG-42 to find a Recon Point.
  34. TIP: On the second floor of the stable near the doorways leading down to the north, you'll find a soldier's body and a sniper rifle. Grab it to help you take out enemy soldiers from a safe distance.
  35. Move through the stable and take cover on the ground floor of its north side. There's a supply drop here, as well as sandbags for cover. Use your squad to draw enemy fire, and creep around to the north to use your sniper rifle.
  36. Kilroy! Go west from the supply drop next to the two cylindrical silos and face the wall of the building that's against the western edge of this area. The north wall holds a Kilroy.
  37. Peg the arm of the soldier manning the 88 to draw him out, then finish him quickly. That'll put the 88 out of active commission. Next, turn your attention to the MG crew and snipe them one at a time.
  38. That takes care of all the enemies in the area. Advance on the 88, place your satchel charge and get away form it before it blows. You'll complete an objective when you've done it.
  39. Now head north, looking for a gap in the wreckage to the east side of the road. Straight to the north is an enemy Panzer IV for you to deal with, along with an infantry division to the northeast.
  40. You need your squads to distract the tank while you move up on the west side and flank it. Take cover by the wreckage and the west side of the road and snipe the infantry position that sets up directly ahead of you in the courtyards ahead.
  41. Get your squads set behind some cover where they can shoot at the tank, then head to the west side and north.
  42. Book it through the courtyards and grab cover behind something on its southern edge, out of view of the tank. You should see an infantry position that hasn't eyeballed you yet, guarding the tank. Snipe them down quickly.
  43. Now sprint up along the side of the tank, keeping your head down to avoid drawing attention to yourself. Get around behind it on its north side and place your satchel charge.
  44. Get clear and wait for the tank to blow. You'll complete an objective.
  45. Consult your map. There are two German positions directly across from you to the east. There's no good over to move your squads up, but the soldiers haven't seen you. You can flank them yourself.
  46. The position is blocked by a flaming vehicle. If you can get a bead with your sniper rifle, take it, but if not, move around north of the position and take cover behind wreckage there. Then ambush the enemy soldiers.
  47. With that done, you're in the clear to move north. Bring up your squads and have them take cover on the low wall just north of you.
  48. Join your men for a checkpoint. Move through the wall and take cover on the next wall you come to, facing northeast. You'll quickly be faced with a German position there, plus an MG nest to the north.
  49. Suppress both positions, then use the sniper rifle to pop up and knock out the soldiers manning the MG-42. You should easily be able to clear the position yourself.
  50. Now suppress the remaining position to the northeast. When it's pinned, send your assault team forward to the next wall just ahead of you and order an assault.
  51. That should do it for German forces. You'll enter the train station automatically with need to clear it.
  52. Follow your compass up the stairs and take cover at the corner. You should see a German patrol just ahead, behind a half wall.
  53. Lean out and grease as many soldiers as you can manage. You may be able to hit two or three before they take cover.
  54. Now suppress the enemy position. When the way is clear, sprint to the half wall.
  55. With the Germans still suppressed, move up into cover behind the couches ahead. Kill any you can that pop their heads up, and move forward again.
  56. You'll scatter the Germans by being so close. Blast them or throw a grenade to clear them out.
  57. Move up carefully. Another soldier will soon come screaming down the hallway to your right. Make sure you're close to cover when he does.
  58. Blast the soldier when he moves out to shoot you.
  59. Recon! Head over to the bar and look for a map to find a Recon Point.
  60. Follow your compass down the hall to a staircase to meet your objective. You'll rejoin your squad, including a third MG team, and they're already dug in and engaging a handful of German positions. You're also facing a Panzer IV and a panzershrek team.
  61. Your sniper rifle is still your best friend here. Suppress the German positions and find a good place to use it. You can go to the far east of the area behind some of the train cars, which works fairly well. You can also make a careful break for the stairs that lead up to the water tower to the north.
  62. The water tower affords you the best position. Use it to snipe down all the German infantry positions while your squads distract the panzer.
  63. TIP: If you do choose to snipe from the water tower, keep one eye on the panzer. It can decimate you if it decides to target you and you're not ready for it.
  64. Kilroy! Climb the stairs to the water tower and stop at the first landing. Look at the flat area just underneath the water container for a Kilroy.
  65. With most or all of the infantry dead, your next goal is the tank. Leave the tower and head to the cover to the west.
  66. Quickly make your way toward the building on the west side of the area. You may see a German infantry position left at the base of the water tower. From here you can quickly an easily snipe the two soldiers.
  67. Now head into the building to the west, which you hopefully cleared out. If not, toss a grenade around the corner to be sure. Keep the fiery truck to the north of you between you and the tank, which will now be trying to fire on you.
  68. Sprint to the fiery truck and wait for the tank's attention to return to your squads. Run up and place a satchel charge, then run back around the truck.
  69. Fall back to cover! Two more panzers are on their way to take the place of the one you just destroyed, and fast. Grab a place near the supply drop to the west and wait for the tanks to come closer.
  70. The tank on the west side of the area will move freely and sometimes be supported by the one on the east side. Wait until you have an opening when the west tank may be too close to target you, or at least not aiming at you, and the east tank will have a hard time hitting you.
  71. Break for the west tank, place a charge, and get back to cover. When it's gone, address the tank to the east.
  72. Use the tank you destroyed for cover and watch the eastern tanks movements. This one likely is zeroing on you, so you'll have a limited window in which to move.
  73. Wait until the tank is facing away, then break for the fiery truck near the first destroyed panzer. Keep it between you and the enemy tank. When the coast is clear, move to the panzer you blew up and use it for cover in the same way.
  74. The tank is a beast and not easily distracted, but you're actually safer the closer you are to it. When it moves, break for the low wall southeast of you. When it moves again, try to stick it, or jump the wall and take cover further south.
  75. When the tank moves again, you'll have an opportunity. Stick a charge to the tank as it rolls past and run in whatever direction the gun is not facing. You should have time to get away before the gun zeroes you and the satchel charge explodes.
  76. Take cover as three more panzers approach. Do so facing north so that you can see the tanks of the XXX Corps arrive to save you and end the mission.

Mission Ten: Tooth and Nail

  1. Start by taking your three squads and heading south over the sand dune. Quickly take cover behind the ridge, as there are two German positions just ahead.
  2. Set your fire team and MG team along this first ridge, and move with your assault team along the ridges to the west. You'll be able to flank some of the German positions from there and flush out the rest.
  3. Now suppress the new position and the MG nest further south. When they're done, move your teams up, including one along the east side of the area to the position the Germans previously held there.
  4. TIP: From your forward position, you might be able to use your rifle to snipe the suppressed MG gunner when he sticks his head up. If so, you'll have a much easier time moving up.
  5. Move up your squads to put covering fire on all the remaining German positions. Follow the sand dunes along the area to the east, keeping in cover. Fire on flanked German positions when you see them.
  6. TIP: Just to the southeast of here is a Recon Point. Get it by standing on the edge of the area and facing west.
  7. Move along the wood fence here until you come to an overturned log, which is a former German position. Take cover and reassign covering fire to the three German positions further southeast.
  8. Sneak up to the metallic fence just ahead and flank the German positions you can hit. Clear out the forward position and assign covering fire to the rest. Move your squads up while you can.
  9. Reset your squads so that they're facing the two positions just north of the three entrenched sets of Germans. Suppress the positions.
  10. Move up to the low wall ahead of you. You can take cover at the wooden crates just south for a breather, but don't stay long. When you hit the stone, wait again.
  11. When the coast is clear, jump the fence and take cover on the east-facing stone wall just south of you. You'll be at an angle to the German forces.
  12. Reload your machine gun if it's empty and creep up to the corner. Blast the Germans as they scatter.
  13. Move back quickly after you've cleared these two positions. You'll get a checkpoint, but there's also another set of infantry troops to the west with a clear shot at you.
  14. Get your squads to the east side of the area, where there's cover. Suppress the Germans and move up on the south side of the road with your assault team. Up ahead is a flipped trailer you can use to flank the forward German position.
  15. With that team gone, move up to the downed tree just up the road and suppress the Germans there. Move your MG squad up to the cover in the center of the road and have them open up.
  16. On the north side of the road is lateral-facing flanking cover. Move up and send your assault team there.
  17. Now you've got an active 88 to contend with. Quickly move your assault team to the left of their position and have them target the 88 or the German troops supporting it.
  18. Backtrack while the 88 is firing at your assault squad. Move up your MG squad to the center of the road behind some sand bags and a wrecked car. Target the 88.
  19. With the gun firing on these two locations, you can move up on the south side of the road, hopping from cover spot to spot. Make a break for the wall around the side of the 88.
  20. You're too close to be shot by the big cannon, but the gun will still wheel over to attempt to hit you. Clear the gunner soldier yourself or draw the 88's focus so your squad can hit it form the side.
  21. Place a satchel charge on the gun to destroy it. When it's gone, take cover on the east-facing wall behind the gun to start suppressing the many German positions beyond. When you can move down the stairs north of you, do so.
  22. This next area is tough to take. You're fa
