Bromance

Guide Note: A Bromance is a non-romantic "man crush" shared between two guys. It is generally said to be a sharing of mutual love, admiration and respect between two straight men, though some would argue that a bromance can also exist between a straight man and a gay man.
The "man crush" has been discussed in pop culture, such as in the Seinfeld episode, "The Boyfriend." A prime example of bromance in particular is the on-screen relationship of the two lead characters in the 2007 comedy Superbad. Fast Facts:
- Term invented by Dave Carnie in describing relationships between skaters
- Often applies to deep, close male friendships

- Comedy group Negative Infinity created "Dude! A Bro-Mantic Comedy" sketch show
