2008 Tour de France
Brioude is the departure town for stage seven of the 2008 Tour de France. At 159 kilometers, it is one of the shortest stages of the Tour. 2008 will be the first time that the Tour uses Brioude as a stage town. Cyclists will end stage seven in Aurillac.4
