Guide Note
The Blues and Royals are a regiment of the British Army. The name comes from a combination of nicknames of the two regiments that merged to form it: The Royal Horse Guards ("The Blues") and The Royal Dragoons ("The Royals").

Prince Harry and William
In 2006, British royalty Prince William and Prince Harry joined the Blues and Royals as cornets. On February 28, 2008, it was revealed that Prince Harry was serving on the front lines in Afghanistan. He was withdrawn shortly thereafter.
