The Blackberry Thunder is a rumored new version of the popular BlackBerry from Research in Motion. In July of 2008, Gizmodo reported that the official name of the new model, which includes a touchscreen, would be the Blackberry Storm, rather than the Thunder.1

iPhone Killer?
According to reports, the new version of the hand held device will be marketed as a competition to the Apple iPhone. The new phone will eliminate the physical keyboard, which has been present on all BlackBerry models to date, and will also feature an expanded touch-screen.
The BlackBerry Thunder's potential as an "iPhone killer," or successful competitor to the increasingly popular Apple phone, has been the matter of considerable debate since its official announcement.
