Blacksite: Area 51 was met with mixed reviews, earning an average of 56% on Metacritic for the PS3 version; 62% for the Xbox 360; and 61% for the PC.¹ It received fairly high marks from a TeamXbox reviewer who noted that the included multiplayer content went a long way towards making up for the brief single-player campaign.² GameSpy, on the other hand, criticized the game for its poor storytelling, derivative gameplay and a lackluster squad system.³

Blacksite: Area 51 is a sci-fi themed first-person shooter developed by Midway Studios Austin for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms. The game focuses on squad-based tactics and features a morale system, which alters your squadmates' performance based on your leadership skills.⁴
