Bishop Thomas Weeks is the co-founder of the Global Destiny Christian Community along with his estranged wife, Dr. Juanita Bynum. Weeks pleaded guilty to assaulting Bynum in a parking lot in August of 2007. He returned to the pulpit on Easter Sunday of 2008, and will continue his work while serving three years probation and performing mandatory community service and anger management coursework.
In September 2008, weeks launched a video series on his website about his search for a new wife.

On September 19, 2008, Weeks launched a ten episode video series on his website detailing his Christian philosophy of dating and chronicling his search for a new mate.1 These include a minimum age of 25, with "special exemptions for 21 and up if they are classy," a deep sense connection, discerning sensibilities, and that she "can't be ugly."2
