Billy Packer


Guide Note: Billy Packer is considered one of the most knowledgeable analysts of the college game. He has served as lead analyst for NCAA Basketball on CBS, and has called each of the last 30 Final Fours. Packer, who led Wake Forest to its only Final Four appearance, has won an Emmy Award for sports broadcasting. Before his work at CBS, he teamed up with play-by-play man Dick Enberg and fellow analyst Al McGuire to help launch the popularity of college basketball on television in the late 1970's at NBC Sports.
