Bill Clement is a former NHL player and currently serves as an hockey broadcasting analyst for the Philadelphia Flyers. A member of two Stanley Cup championship teams with the Flyers during the 1970s, Clement has also called games during several of the Winter Olympics.

Playing Career

Clement played center for the Philadelphia Flyers beginning in 1971 and was known as a solid two-way player with a tenacity for great defense and checking. He was an interagal part of back-to-back Stanley Cup championship teams in 1974 and 1975. After playing for half a season in Washington, he finished the last seven years of his career with the Flames both in Atlanta and Calgary.

One of the best in the game

His playing career was significantly overshadowed by his broadcasting career. For many years he was paired with Gary Thorne calling games for ESPN. Later, he handled studio analysis on NBC's coverage of the 2002 Winter Olympics, and eventually hosted their weekly NHL Game of the Week coverage.
