    • I see no reference to brands like North Central Positronics, makers of robots in Roland's world, or its sinister parent the Sombra Corporation, from the Dark Tower saga. Also missing are Nozz-a-la (a soft drink) and Takuro (automotive manufacturer).

    • A topical rub for bald and impotent men, or as its spokesman Homer Simpson says, "It gives you hair up there and what you need down there". May cause loss of scalp and/or penis. The name is a combination of both the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra and the hair growth treatment Rogaine.

    • Song from Fraggle Rock - A red potion given to Wembley by Marjory the Trash Heap in episode thirteen of season one, "We Love You Wembley." The vapours of the potion cause the inhaler to fall madly in love with the fraggle who opened the vial. The effects, while potent, only last twenty minutes.

    • Mr. Hooper's Store is an integral business on the hit television show Sesame Street. This fictional establishment has been turned over through many owners throughout the years, all of whom have maintained this establishment's stature, friendliness and cleanliness, and overall unbelievably cheap prices. Its owners have been Mr. Hooper, David, Mr. Handford, and Alan; these managers have been assisted by Tom, Cookie Monster, Bert, Petey, Gina, Carlo, Natalie, and Gabby.

    • And how do we forget about Cyberdyne's development of Skynet, a network of supercomputers that employ artificial intelligence in order to replace human beings as military aircraft pilots, and for the control of other military systems, including nuclear missiles. The system went online on August 4, 1997. On August 29, 1997, Skynet became self aware. Under panic, humans attempted to shut it down, and Skynet retaliated by launching a nuclear attack against Russia, knowing that the Russian counterattack would eliminate its enemies in the U.S, initiating an indeterminately long period of global warfare. The battle pitted humans against machines, which developed ever-increasing capabilities. God you got to love big Oil, wups I mean Big Business

    • Let us not forget about the maker of our favorite maker of life-like androids, The Tyrell Corporation from the movie The Blade Runner. After all they are "More human than human", and were else would you even consider picking up your high-tech biocorp Nexus-6 replicant for your prostitution ring or slave labor.

    • "The Company" from the Aliens universe, which someone mentioned previously, is actually the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.

The bizarre Judd Nelson film The Dark Backward features a disturbingly omnipresent company called Blump's, who apparently own everything in the world and manufacture, among other things, synthetic pork juice.

WESAYSO Corporation -- the omnipotent and omnipresent company from the TV show Dinosaurs -- is worth a mention, not least for its catchy slogan: "We know what you want. We know what you need. We know where you live." WESAYSO is an especially scathing commentary on corporate greed and malfeasance; their total disregard for long-term consequences eventually leads to the extinction of the dinosaurs.

    • Not to nitpick (ok, totally to nitpick), the reference to the empanadas at Casa Bonita is a bit off. The big things at Casa Bonita are the sopapillas. To suggest otherwise would totally offend those of us who have grown up on the pure unadulterated joy that is Casa Bonita. Please make this correction. Muchas gracias.

    • From the movie _The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the Eighth Dimension_. References to the fictional company, Yoyodyne, show up on numerous Star Trek the Next Generation props. Apparently, much of the technology in Star Trek comes from the evil Red Lectoids of Planet 10 via the 8th dimension. At least, according to the Star Trek propmasters. :)

I think this is pretty funny: http://anime.thenexxus.org/prodmis/

    • Spacely Sprockets is one of the largest makers of sprockets’, cogs and gears in the universe. There are many uses of these sprockets’, cogs and gears. Some of these innovations are moving sidewalks, robots, Dog walks, and compressors to transport people thru the "People Mover Tubes". The company owned and run by Cosmo Spacely and his on again off again Vice President George Jetson. Remember 4 out of 5 manufacturers prefer Spacely Sprockets over Cogswell Cogs.

    • Burger joint from Kevin Smith movies. Dogma, the angels go into a board meeting at Mooby's headquarters and they kill everyone for idolizing a cow. Clerks 2, the whole movie takes place in one.

        • Yeah, it's based on the Mooby character, which is a Micky Mouse type character with a Kevin Smith slant. Gotta add this one.

    • Network 23 the network television company of "Max Headroom" which runs "blipverts" to keep views glued to the network. Maybe along with this 'brand' if it counts is the Zik-Zak corporation which is Network 23's primary advertiser with products like: "Zik-Zak Bacon Straightener, the Zik-Zak 1000-Volt Christian Converter ("Plug yourself in and your friends WILL see the light!"), and Zik-Zak Burger Paks (which have their nutritional value doubled by the plastic wrapping)."

    • Omni Consumer Products (aka OCP) from Robocop. I mention in the subject title "the original" OCP, because upon 'googling' it I found the acronym OCP also stood for "Oracle Certification Program", "Optical Communications Products", Open-Closed Principle. You can't tell me these people didn't realize what they created when they saw the acronym. What does surprise me is the number of other companies and groups that do have this same acronym. I think it is hilarious.
