Ben Wallace

Ben Wallace plays the forward and/or the center position for the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers. Wallace was not heavily recruited in high school, and thus played at the junior college level at Cuyahoga Community College. He then moved from a Division II team to the pro-league in Italy, before he was picked up by the Washington Bullets in 1996.

Ben Wallace went undrafted in the 1996 NBA Draft. He was signed on as a free agent by the, then, Washington Bullets. This was after he played in Italy for some time. He eventually landed in Detroit, playing for Flip Saunders. He was an integral part of the team's championship victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in 2004. In 2006, general manager Joe Dumars promised to make Wallace the highest paid Piston of all time, which he did. However, Wallace decided to take a deal with the Chicago Bulls shortly after for $60 million, $10 million more than he was making in Detroit. He then moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers after the Bulls traded him in 2008.
