A baby bathtub is a device used to give an infant a bath. It may be a self-standing bath that is able to be filled with water or it can be a device used inside of a normal bathtub to provide support to a baby. Both types of baby bathtubs are designed to place the baby at an incline, keeping the head out of water. Warnings have been released stating that baby bathtubs may give a false sense of security, letting the parents believe they can turn their back on the infant. Even the smallest of infants can easily move causing the tub to tip over or the baby to turn and be place under water. Parents are warned to never leave a baby unattended while in any type of baby bathtub.
