BSG Midseason Finale

The midseason finale for Battlestar Galactica's fourth and final season aired in the United States on June 13, 2008. The surprise final twist sparked a great deal of discussion online. The back half of the season is slated to air beginning in early 2009.

Writers Strike Woes

In the middle of fourth season production, the Writer's Guild of America went on strike, which halted production on Battlestar Galactica for several months. The fourth season had originally been scheduled to air without a break, but due to the strike the second half of the season will not air until 2009. Stargate Atlantis, which due to its largely Canadian writing staff was not affected by the strike, will air in Battlestar Galactica's time slot in the interim.
