BNSF Railway Company

August 5, 2008: BNSF Railway announced that it will extend its mileage-based fuel program to customers who do not currently pay on a mileage-based scale, starting on January 15, 2009. For intermodal customers, the extension will begin on February 18, 2009. According to press reports, BNSF believes the new program will allow it to accurately "[reflect] the impact of fuel price changes."2
