Autism: The Musical is a documentary film released in 2007 and broadcast on HBO in 2008. Directed by Tricia Regan, the film documents five autistic children as they produce a musical play. Soon after Regan began working on the film, the reality TV production company Bunim/Murray Productions picked up the project. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2007, went on to win many awards, and was also broadcast on HBO in 2008.

Synopsis
The film documents five autistic children for one year in Los Angeles as they write, rehearse and perform in a live musical play. In addition to spotlighting the children's creative process in spite of their disabilities, the film also documents the parents as they help the kids achieve their musical dreams.
