Austan Goolsbee

Guide Note:
Austan Goolsbee is an American economist who currently holds the position of the Robert P. Gwinn Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago. He is also the lead economic advisor to the campaign of presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama. Most recently, Goolsbee made headlines because of a meeting with Canadian officials during a tour of the campus he works at. He is known as a centrist in economic circles. He graduated summa cum laude from Yale University in 1991.
