Aurora Medical Helicopter Crash
An Air Angels helicopter crashed in Aurora, Illinois, killing three crew members and a baby girl they were transporting. The medical helicopter was en route to Children's Memorial from Valley West Community Hospital when it crashed in a vacant field in the Chicago suburb. The helicopter clipped a wire that supported a radio station's 750-foot tower. It is unknown whether the helicopter was in distress before hitting the wire.1
