Auray France

2008 Tour de France
Auray was a starting point for stage two of the 2008 Tour de France. Though the stage itself was short, bikers faced "frequent climbs and crosswinds" on their way to Saint-Brieuc.3
On July 6, Thor Hushovd won the race after cycling 164.5 kilometers to Saint-Brieuc. Kim Kirchen and Gerald Ciolek followed Hushovd across the finish line, placing second and third respectively.4
