PC Magazine reported from CES 2008 that the G70 should help Asus compete with the big boys, namely Dell, Alienware, Voodoo PC, Falcon Northwest and Velocity Micro. They touted the computer's display size and resolution, and particularly noted the inclusion of a dual-layer DVD burner.
