Ashley Youngler died in a helicopter crash in Maryland on September 28, 2008. The 18-year-old teenage girl was severely injured in a car accident and was evacuated by a medical aircraft. During the flight to a local hospital, the helicopter went down, killing four and injuring two. Tanya Mallard, a medical technician, also didn't survive the accident.¹

Authorities say that the accident took place in a wooded area and that they are investigating the causes. Police superintendent commented that it was the worst catastrophe in the state's history. "This is a devastating tragedy for the families of all the victims," he added.²
