Ashlee Simpson
Ashlee Simpson is an American pop singer and actress.She is the younger sister of Jessica Simpson. She began her career acting on the television series 7th Heaven.

Family and Early Life
Simpson was born in Waco, Texas on October 3, 1984. She is the daughter of former Baptist youth minister Joe Simpson, who is now her manager. Her mother is Tina Ann Drew, who is a former Sunday school teacher. Her big sister Jessica is also a singer and actress.
Simpson started studying dance at the age of three. At the age of 11, she was admitted to the School of American Ballet in New York City. During this time, Simpson suffered an eating disorder which caused her to drop down to 70 lbs. But with the help of her family, she was able to get better in six months.
Early Career
In 1998, the family moved to Los Angeles, California when Jessica landed a record deal. At this tie, Simpson started appearing in television commercials. She eventually became on of her sister's backup dancers. She started getting smaller roles in movies like The Hot Chick and had guest appearances on television shows including Malcolm in the Middle. She landed a reoccurring role on the family series 7th Heaven playing Cecilia Smith.
After recording the song "Just Let Me Cry" for the Freaky Friday soundtrack, Simpson signed a deal with Geffen Records.
Debut Album
Simpson's first album Autobiography debuted at number one in 2004 in the U.S.. In the first week, she sold approximately 398,000 copies of her cd. The album certified triple platinum a few months after it debuted. Simpson co-wrote all of the songs on the album. Her first single "Pieces of Me was one of the biggest hits at the time it was released.

Simpson got her own reality television show on MTV which had two seasons. The show was about the process of writing and recording songs, and Simpson's personal life.
Saturday Night Live
Simpson had a mortifying moment when she appeared as a musical guide on the comedy show Saturday Night Live. When she started to sing the song "Autobiography", the vocals for "Pieces of Me" started playing before the microphone was raised to her mouth. Simpson said that she needed to use a vocal guide track for the performance because she lost her voice due to her acid reflux disease. She had also said that her drummer accidentally hit the wrong button which made the wrong track play.
Personal Life
Simpson is engaged to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz. She was first seen dating him in 2006. Simpson is rumored to be pregnant with her first child, though she denies it.
