Armand Assante
Armand Assante is an Emmy-winning American Actor. Born and raised in New York, Assante was the son of artistic parents. His mother was a teacher and a poet, while his father was an painter. Assante attended Cornwall central High School, before pursuing his dramatic training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He made his screen debut as a "Wedding Guest" in the 1974 film Lords of Flatbush, which starred Henry Winkler and Sylvester Stallone. Assante's breakthrough role came in the film Private Benjamin starring Goldie Hawn. Other notable Assante films include The Mambo Kings, Hoffa, Gotti, for which he won an Emmy, Judge Dredd, and American Gangster.
