Appendicitis is a serious medical condition in which the appendix, a part of a human's anatomy that's function has puzzled scientists for centuries, becomes inflamed. Since their is no way to cure appendicitis without an appendectomy, the surgical removal of the appendix, physicians consider appendicitis to be a medical emergency.1
