Antonio Margarito
Antonio Margarito is a professional boxer. He is the current WBA welterweight champion and former World Boxing Organization and International Boxing Federation champion. Margarito lost his WBO title to Paul Williams by decision in 2007.1 He vacated his IBF title in order to fight Miguel Cotto for the World Boxing Association welterweight title on July 26, 2008.2
He defeated Cotto by TKO in the 11th round.3

Pro Career
Margarito made his professional boxing debut on January 14, 1994, with a victory over Jose Trujillo. In 2002, he defeated Antonio Diaz to become the WBO Welterweight champion. He successfully defended his title for several years, before losing to Paul Williams in a close 12 round decision in 2007.1 On April 12, 2008, Margarito defeated Alex Cintron to win the IBF Welterweight title.4 In 2008, Margarito defeated Miguel Cotto by TKO in the 11th round.5
