Andrew Lloyd Webber

Guide Note: Andrew Lloyd Webber has been considered one of the most prolific and successful musical composers of his time. He is well known for many of his musicals, including Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Evita Cats and The Phantom of the Opera. He has had several musical hits outside the world of Broadway from a number of his musicals, one of the most successful being the score for The Phantom of the Opera. He has collaborated with a number of writers and lyricists throughout the years, including Tim Rice, Alan Ayckbourn and Trevor Nunn. He owns The Really Useful Group, which is one of the largest theatre groups in London.
