Career Highlights

Alberts was originally drafted right out of high school, 179th overall in the 2001 NHL Draft by the Boston Bruins. He chose to attend college before going into the NHL, enrolling in Boston College. After graduation he joined the Boston Bruins' American Hockey League affiliate, the Providence Bruins in 2005. That same year he made his NHL debut, playing 73 regular season games with the Bruins. Alberts has since re-signed twice with the Bruins, first to a one year contract in 2006, then to a two year contract in 2007. Alberts has also represented the United States in the World Ice Hockey Championships in both 2006 and 2007.
