Anders Eriksson is a professional ice hockey player for the Calgary Flames of the NHL. The Swedish-born defenseman was a member of Sweden's silver medal 1993 World Junior Champions and the bronze medal winning team the following year, when he was voted the tournament All-Star and Swedish Rookie of the Year.

NHL Career

Eriksson was drafted 22nd overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1993 entry draft and joined as a full time member of the team for their Stanley Cup winning 1997-1998 season.

After being traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in 1999, Eriksson would go on to score a record high of 25 points the following season. From 2000 to 2006, Eriksson would spend partial seasons with the Florida Panthers, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Columbus Blue Jackets and their affiliated American Hockey League Teams.

After playing a full season with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2006-2007, which was his first full NHL season since 2000-2001, Eriksson was signed as an unrestricted free agent by the Calgary Flames to a two-year contract.
