The Tape and the Lawsuit
Amy Jacobson was fired from her job at WMAQ shortly after rival station WBBM ran a story featuring the reporter in a swimsuit at the home of Craig Stebic. Stebic's estranged wife, Lisa Stebic, vanished in April 2007, and Jacobson was covering the story. Jacobson says she went to the Stebic home at the invitation of Stebic's sister, and wound up swimming with Stebic's children. Jacobson's lawsuit claims WBBM employees "wanted the public to believe that Plaintiff Jacobson had a sexual liaison with Craig Stebic."1
