Amy Goodman Arrested
Amy Goodman, radio show host of the syndicated program Democracy Now, was arrested on September 1, 2008, outside of the XCel Center as the 2008 Republican Nation Convention began. Goodman was reporting on an anti-war demonstration when two of her producers, Sharif Abdel Kouddous and Nicole Salazar, were arrested on charges of suspicion of rioting.1 Goodman said she had gone to speak to the officers on the behalf of her arrested colleagues when she was arrested.2
