Amani Toomer
National Football League wide receiver Amani Toomer currently plays for the New York Giants. Rumors spread in November of 2007 that Toomer may leave the Giants after the season as he will become a free agent and has not been in talks with the Giants.1

Football Career
Toomer began his career playing college football with the Michigan Wolverines in 1991, earning All-Big Ten honors in 1994. After school, he was selected 34th overall in the 2996 NFL draft by the New York Giants. He has played with the Giants in the year since, setting several team records along the way. In 1999, Toomer earned a starting position with the Giants and caught at least 70 passes each season over the next four years with the team, the first in Giants' history to do so. Toomer was sidelined in 2006 after tearing his ACL eight games into the season. He returned to the team in 2007 to set team records for catches, receiving yards, touchdown catches and 100-yard receiving games.2
