Amanda Overmyer was a Top 11 finalist on American Idol Season 7. She was eliminated from the show on March 19, 2008, after her performance of "Back in the U.S.S.R" during The Beatles theme week. During her run on the show she was known as the rocker nurse and was likened to Janis Joplin.
