Foxy Knoxy
Amanda Knox, also known as "Foxy Knoxy," seemed to enjoy a wild lifestyle. A few months prior to the murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, Knox was arrested and fined for a party that went out of control. Seattle neighbors called the police when members of Knox's party started hurling rocks into the road, at nearby homes and at cars. According to her Facebook page, Knox said, "I don't get embarrassed and therefore have very few social inhibitions."7
Lack Of Social Inhibitions?
Knox's lack of "social inhibitions" became part of the police investigation into Kercher's murder when it was alleged that Kercher was killed because she refused to participate in an orgy with Knox and her friends.8
Merdith Kercher's Murder
Meredith Kercher was stabbed in the neck after she allegedly refused to participate in a sexual orgy with her roommate Amanda Knox and Knox's two Italian friends, Rudy Guede and Rafaelle Sollecito. Knox, Guede and Sollecito have been charged with murder, although they all maintain their innocence.4
A post-mortem examination found evidence of sexual activity prior to Kercher's death but medical examiners refused to confirm reports of rape.9 Detectives claim to have found Sollecito's DNA on the back of Kercher's bra in addition to DNA from Kercher and Knox found on a knife at Sollecito's apartment. Guede has admitted to being present in the house on the night Kercher was murdered.4
