Alycia Lane on Dr. Phil
Lane claims that in 2004, she was sent by the station to interview Dr. Phil McGraw. She alleges that she was told to talk about her personal life with him. Dr. Phil asked her a question about divorce which caused her to cry. She said that she believed the personal footage would be edited, but it was used by the station as a promotion for the television psychologist's upcoming show on relationships and divorce.
CBS3's Response
"We have received a copy of Alycia Lane's complaint against KYW-TV. The station believes the claims are without merit and will defend the case vigorously in court."—1CBS3 Statement
