Located about 50 miles north of San Antonio, Albert, Texas is a 13-acre property formerly up for sale on eBay. The auction closed on November 23, 2007 at nine AM. The town, which includes a dance hall and tavern sold for $3.8 million. As of late 2007, there were no permanent residents in Albert, although many come from surrounding towns to gather in the town tavern.

History
The area was originally settled in 1877 as farm land. In 1892, the town, getting its first post office, was renamed Albert. In the following years a general store and schools were built, including one school where Lyndon Johnson attended.
Recent Years
In 2003, Robert Cave purchased the town for a reported and invested nearly $500,000 into the area. He later sold the town in late 2007, for a reported $3.8 million.
