Aigurande is a small town in France's Centre region and Indre department. The town lies southeast of Châteauroux, capital of the department. Crayfish is a food specialty in Aigurande—in August they devote an entire festival to it.¹

Aigurande is the departure town for stage six of the 2008 Tour de France. Cyclists will trek 195.5 kilometers to arrive in Super-Besse. 2008 marks the Tour's first time in Aigurande.³
