Ahmed Abdullah Ali is one of the eight suspects that was arrested on August 10, 2006 and put on trial for the Heathrow Aircraft Bomb Plot.1 On September 8, 2008, Ali was found guilty for his part in planning to kill people using a terrorist plot.2

Background
Abdullah Ali, along with Assad Sarwar and Tanvir Hussain, admitted to plotting a conspiracy to cause explosions in July 2008.4 Abdullah Ali and four other defendants also plead guilty to the allegation of conspiring to inflict public problems.5
Alleged Bomb Plot
The alleged plan was to target a series of airplanes leaving Heathrow Airport, using home made bombs to to blow up themselves and the planes.
