In the RPG Age of Conan, characters can be stripped of clothes, making them fully topless. Additionally, in cities and towns around the fictional world of Hyboria, non-player characters (NPCs) sometimes appear topless and/or scantily clad.

Before the game's release, Funcom had publicized this aspect of the game's aesthetic. The December 2007 issue of Playboy features nude pictures of Keaira, one of the main female characters in the game, as part of its Girls of Gaming feature. This strong theme of sexuality in the game, while fitting with the Conan the Barbarian source material, has sparked some criticism. One gamer has posted an iPetition, requesting a toggle button be implemented in the game which would turn off the nudity. The North American version of the game has not been censored.

The MMORPG Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures features partially nude female character models. Based on the original stories by Robert E. Howard and the 1982 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, the game takes place in the fantasy world of Hyboria, which combines “swords-and-sorcery” with strong sexuality.
