AW: Days of Ruin is a turn-based strategy game in which the player commands an army of air, naval and land units. There are 26 vehicle types, some of which will be familiar to fans of previous Advance Wars games. There are also new units, including War Tank, Anti-tank, Duster and Seaplane.¹

The single-player campaign is bolstered by a multiplayer mode that offers over 170 maps for 2-, 3- and 4-player matches. Players are able to chat with buddies using the Nintendo DS's built-in microphone and a WiFi connection.²
