Adolf Hitler 's Timeline follows the life of Adolf Hitler , leader of the Nazi Party. Early in his political career Hitler helped lead the Beer Hall Putsch, a failed coup d'etet, wherein Hitler planned to take power in a march to Munich. After failing in this attempted, Hitler was arrested and imprisoned. While in jail he wrote Mein Kampf, an autobiography that would serve as powerful Nazi propaganda during Hitler's ascension to power. Assuring the German people economic progress, he was appointed chancelor in 1933 and further solidified his power in 1934, declaring himself "Fuhrer" after the death of then-President Paul von Hindenberg. His involvement in World War II and policy toward minorities during the war have earned him a notorious position in world history. Hitler's war time policy included a "Final Solution of the Jewish Question", which came in the form of The Holocaust.
