Guide Note: March 11, 2008: Admiral William Fallon resigned his post as Chief of U.S. forces in Middle East and Central Asia after holding the position for little over a year. Adm. Fallon cited inaccurate news reports claiming that he is at odds with the Bush administration over Iran. A recent article in Esquire painted Adm. Fallon as the one person standing in the way of the Bush Administration's intention of going to war with Iran.
