Guide Note

Adam LaRoche is a first baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates. After graduating from Fort Scott High School, LaRoche played baseball at Fort Scott Community College before transferring to Seminole Junior College. The Atlanta Braves selected LaRoche in the 29th round of the 2000 amateur draft. After four years in the Braves farm system, LaRoche made his major league debut on April 7, 2004.
