Abu Khabab Al-Masri
In a statement released on August 3, 2008, Al Qaeda confirmed the death of Abu Khabab Al-Masri, also known as Midhat Mursi al-Sayid Umar. He was a top chemical and biological weapons expert for the Al Qaeda terror network.1 Al Qaeda did not release further details, but Pakistani authorities said they believe he was killed by a CIA airstrike in south Waziristan in late July.2
