The 9-12 March on Washington is a demonstration organized by former Republican Majority Leader and lobbyist Dick Armey's FreedomWorks organization and television entertainer Glenn Beck. According to Beck, one of the stated goals of this movement is to make Americans feel the way they did the day after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. FreedomWorks, which also sponsored many of the teabagging events earlier in 2009 states that the protest is against spending by the United States government.
