88 Minutes Good Reviews
- New York Observer: Saggy, Beat-Up 60-Something Pacino Still Sizzles as Sleuth
- "...will add a little more luster to a career that has not been adequately appreciated perhaps because of the suspiciously seductive power of a little man with an outsize talent."
88 Minutes Neutral Reviews
- Newsday (2/4): 88 Minutes Review
- "A cheap thriller with an expensive star, 88 Minutes is fast, sleazy and serviceable - in other words, totally watchable - and has one point in its favor: It never tries to pretend it's a class act."
88 Minutes Bad Reviews
- The New York Times: 88 Minutes Review
- "Although it's often laugh-out-loud laughably bad, 88 Minutes is mostly just a slog."
- The Hollywood Reporter: 88 Minutes Review
- "this ridiculous thriller would be hard-pressed to last much longer than its title in theaters before doing time on DVD, as is already the case in many overseas territories."
- EW.com (F): 88 Minutes Review
- "It takes eight minutes, tops, to know that even by the conventionally lax standards of watch-and-toss serial-killer movies, 88 Minutes is a stinker..."
- Chicago Tribune (1/4): 88 Minutes Review
- "The movie throws so much awkward back story at you, so late in the game, it's as if it's out to kill you with exposition."
- USA Today: 88 Minutes: One Heck of an Obscene Phone Call
- "The best thing that can be said about 88 Minutes is that it is sometimes unintentionally hilarious. But when all is added up, there might be eight minutes of laughs at the absurd situations and idiotic dialogue. That leaves a lot of time to sit in the theater and check your watch."
- ReelViews (1/4): 88 Minutes Review
- "It's always a shock when a movie turns out to be this bad. It's an even bigger shock when it features an actor of the caliber and reputation of Al Pacino. 88 Minutes is one of the dumbest thrillers to arrive in theaters in a long time..."
- Village Voice: 88 Minutes Counts Down to Self-Parody
- "We may have to sit through worse films to come this year, but with any luck, there'll be none as guilelessly, idiotically misogynist as this one."
- Slant (.5/5): 88 Minutes Review
- "...trying to piece together the film's puzzle is like trying to drunkenly run through a brick wall: futile, and apt to give one a headache."
88 Minutes Movie Blogs Reviews
- Ain't It Cool News: Gouda Says Pacino's 88 Minutes Isn't Worth Your Time...
- "...bottom line here, stay away. If you need further proof, let me tell you how the movie starts: Al Pacino dancing to hip hop music at a nightclub with a girl at least 3 inches taller than him, who appears to be 18 years old. Very creepy. Very bad film."
- Cinematical: Review: 88 Minutes
- "...88 Minutes runs 108 minutes, and it's too long."
