Guide Note

7-Up is a caffeine free lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage. 7-Up also comes in Cherry 7-Up and also there is diet 7-Up and diet Cherry 7-Up. 7-Up is popular for mixing with alcohol and is used in recipes.

7-Up was first made in 1929 by Charles Leiper Grigg and it was named Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda. That name was changed to 7 Up Lithiated Lemon-Lime then very shortly after changed to just 7-Up.
