"...50 Cent: Blood on the Sand more than makes up for the wretched Bulletproof... [W]hile this is never amazing, it's a competent, enjoyable third-person cover shooter with a sense of humour."—EurogamerEurogamer: 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand Review (February 20, 2009)

"Swordfish Studios has...created a near-perfect popcorn game. Its gunplay is solid and backed up by a plethora of neat ideas, its co-op is strong and there's an undercurrent of savvy humour that helps to negate...the paper thin plot. Ultimately, the pattern of play becomes too familiar too quickly, but while it lasts Blood on the Sand is a smile-inducing blast."—IGN UKIGN UK: 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand Review (February 20, 2009)

  • About the Game

In Blood on the Sand, 50 Cent and G-Unit are playing a concert in a fictional Middle Eastern metropolis. 50 does the show, but afterwards the promoter refuses to pay 50 in cash, instead offering a valuable crystal skull. 50 takes the skull as payment, and is proceeding to leave the city when suddenly he and his entourage are ambushed by local criminals. In the chaos of the ambush, one of the criminals steals the crystal skull, leading 50 and his allies on a journey to recover the skull at all costs.

Gameplay takes place in the third-person and focuses primarily on shooting. The game uses a cover system similar to the central mechanic of the Gears of War series, where 50 or one of his partners can press themselves against a wall for cover and peek out when they choose to unleash returning fire. 50 uses a variety of weapons common to modern warfare, like submachine guns, assault rifles and a rocket launcher. There is also some melee combat in the game that takes place in quick-time events, as well as several vehicle sections where 50 will be attacking enemies while riding in a Humvee or a helicopter.1UP.com: 50 Cent Blood on the Sand Preview (November 14, 2008)
